A Gem At Diamond Head
The Makapuu Suite is a great apartment, especially for those with a young family. Having a kitchenette was great when we needed it. The furnishings were tasteful and the king sized bed was really comfortable, and there is also a sofa bed. We were so close to the beach and we couldn't believe that Diamond Head was just right there when you opened the window! Everything was well maintained and kept very clean. Ohana Beach Rentals were also very accommodating and responsive to any queries we had.
The apartment is situated about a 10 minute brisk walk from the centre of Waikiki...close enough to the centre but just enough to be away from the bustle. We liked staying at the "Gold Coast" as it was much more relaxed. We loved just popping downstairs for a quick swim at The Memorial Beach which is a bit quieter than Waikiki beach and good for small children, about a 3 minute walk. Bus stop was located just next door if you needed it. Close to the zoo and the aquarium. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
