THIS 3- STARS -GITE IS LOCATED IN AN ANCIENT CONVENT,IN A QUIET PART OF BEAUNE

Beaune town Cottage Rental Photos and Description

conveniently located to allow you to explore all the local splendours of Beaune

The Gite du Couvent is conveniently located to allow you to explore all the local splendours of the Capital of the burgundy wines while staying in charming and comfortable self catering accommodation.

Within easy short walks from both the historic city centre and the vineyards criss-crossed by many hiking trails, our gite is part of the former Capuchin convent built in the early 17th century in a quiet and picturesque neighbourhood with the Bouzaise river running nearby

With a capacity of 4 adults, the Gite du Couvent has been designed to accommodate comfortably a couple, a family or a group of friends. We took great care with the interior design with a tasteful decoration and period furniture.

A 17th century cellar is available for storage of bicycles or …any bottled liquids!

Beaune, wineries and wines: Beaune has treasures that are hidden from the light of the day, carefully preserved in the cellars that run through the basements of the town: the great wines of Burgundy.

In a friendly atmosphere, winegrowers will help you discover and taste the fruits of their labour.

Discover the pleasures of the table through a cuisine full of tradition and innovation, which offers a different perspective on the heritage of the Beaune region and allows you to share the legendary art of living.

The Great Gite du Convent

My partner and I stayed at the Gite for a week in Spring of 2012. We were very impressed with the location and condition of this lovely flat. One of the small highlights is the availablity of off-street parking just outside the door of the Gite. We did not use the car everyday because it is an easy walk into central Beaune (if you have not done so, be certain to visit the Hotel-Dieu des Hospices with its distinctive tiled roof). In the opposite direction of town, it is an easy walk to a very nice park and a few more steps to the local vineyards. One of our favorite day trips was the one we took to Abbaye de Fontenay - a lovely drive and very nice town in which to walk around. The Gite is spacious and very comfortabley furnished. We enjoyed sitting in the evenings in the great leather chairs as we sipped wine, ate cheese and read. The lay-out of the Gite would be very comfortable for families - with a lot of room throughout. The kitchen is well equiped (we left a coffee press behind - Enjoy!). It was lovely to sit at the table in the morning with the sunshine streaming in the large windows while we ate our baguettes, butter and jam. Olivia, the owner, was on hand to welcome us upon arrival and was very knowledgeable about local spots to visit.

Thank you so much for your kind review and comments. You know how much it's important for me to see how much the place we renovated and decorated with all our heart an soul is appreciated by our guests. It is a pleasure for us to see that you made the best use of the facilities. It was a real pleasure meeting you and we hope you will visit us again. Kind regards
Olivia and Christophe
