2 bedroom self contained holiday home in the Peloponnese area of Greece with fantastic views over the Messinian Bay and Kalamata. External steps lead up the back of the holiday home to the huge tiled roof terrace with sunloungers and dining furniture for outdoor eating. 1 double bedroom and 1 twin, both with wardrobes. There is a sofabed in the lounge so can sleep up to 5 people. This lovely holiday home has an open plan living room with a kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge/freezer, fan oven and microwave. The living area of the holiday home has a TV, DVD and CD player. There are several patio areas with pots of flowers surrounding the house and there is a small garden. The holiday home is set in a large plot with plenty of off-street parking and over 40 olive trees. There is a small chapel which has a festival with the local villagers (and anyone else) once a year usually the week after the Greek Easter. ** Now with air-conditioning.**

The house is situated in a perfect location for exploring the Peloponnese area of Greece. It is in a quiet area with an away from it all feel with mountain and sea views yet it is only 10 minutes by car to the nearest beach and Kalamata town. Kalamata itself is a cosmopolitan place with plenty of restaurants, museums, cinemas, theatres and of course lots of shops to suit all tastes. There is also a marina and a castle in Kalamata town. This part of the Peloponnese is perfect walking country and there are numerous published guides to walking routes in the area. There are plenty of beaches and places to visit within easy driving distance, including the popular resort of Stoupa, the venetian castles of Methoni and Koroni and the Byzantine city of Mystras. A popular taverna is located less than a kilometre from the house. The owners of the property live in a separate house next door to the holiday home so can give advice for unspoilt beaches and places of interest if required.

Each day we have appreciated returning to the facilities that the Little Yellow House provides, thank you for a memorable holiday, Christine, Tom, Robbie & Ailsa. Thanks for a wonderful week, we've really enjoyed our stay - with its fantastic view, still much to see so hope to be back some day. Julie, Lasse, Mette & Ole - Denmark. An ideal base for exploring the region, It has been lovely each day to return and relax on the terrace with our G & T's watching the sun go down, David, Rosemary & Barbara. The amenities exceeded our expectations, this holiday has been our best yet, P J Cook. An enjoyable 2 weeks, all good things come to an end but we hope to return sometime in the near future, Mr & Mrs Taylor. We are not ready to leave- so much to see in this part of Greece. A lovely spot to return to each evening - what a view! Hope to come back when the sea a better temperature for swimming, Kim, Denise & Julie - Canada (Xmas)

Wonderful House & Location

We have had a fantastic stay at the Yellow House. Kalamata and the wider area is stunning and there is lots to do for everyone. We were visiting with family for a wedding and there was lots on offer for young and old. Great beaches, good restaurants (especially if you hunt out the ones around the marina) and nightlife, as well as wonderful drives through the mountains.
The house is situated in a very peaceful location, making a car essential. It is well equipped and very comfortable and I recommend making full use of the roof-top terrace and its views. The owners are very friendly and helpful too.
There is a Taverna a short walk up the hill that serves very tasty food and is very reasonably priced.
Would love to return.

Good holiday horrible flight home

We had a lovely holiday at the Yellow House, with the only downsides being no tavernas in walking distance and the need for great care on the winding and steep road up - due to Greek drivers! Location was great for visits to Mystras, Sparta, the Mani, Messini and Korini areas. Flight out with Titan Air - a late substitute for Thomas Cook - was excellent with comfortable seats, lots of legroom and great service from smart and enthusiastic cabin staff. Flight back with Thomas Cook was dire due to hard, narrow seats and no legroom - worst I've ever experienced. Iannos
Owner's Response: There is a taverna located less than 1km from the house which is open every night during the summer months and Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtime the rest of the year. It takes about 10 minutes to walk there.

perfect holidays in a fantastic region

We, Michael, Gabriela with two 14-years old boys, spent 12 days in the little yellow house and enjoyed the stay from the very beginning. Every day we toured around in the country and to the sea and found fantastic beaches, interesting and gentle people. Having a car is strongly recommended. All our favourite places were less than 80 minutes from the house (mostly only 25 minutes) and returning "home" in the evening was even for the boys a festival. We all were looking forward to the every days breathtaking sundown we watched from the roof of the house. Thanks to Jackie and Pete (owners of the house) for the kind hospitality and the excellent tips for daily trips.
We hope to come back sometime.
