Just 15-20 minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge, a peaceful, light-filled retreat with Mt. Tamalapais views. Lounge on the deck and catch the sunset or sit in the private patio garden and enjoy hummingbirds and sunshine.
Three bedrooms, two baths (one shower/bath, one shower). Large great room/living room/gourmet kitchen. Media room with comfy leather recliners and large flat screen for watching Netflix or catching a snooze.
About 15 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge, 20 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to great hiking trails, and 10 minutes to great restaurants, really good coffee, and all the goods you're going to need—from organic produce at Whole Foods or the Tam Valley Farmer's Market to boutique shopping and artisan brews in Mill Valley town square.
On street parking. Wifi. And conveniently located near San Francisco and all the best that Marin County has to offer.
The photos say it all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. My sons are currently living in the bay area and we wanted to all be able to stay in the same place to enjoy the great things that the San Francisco Bay area has to offer. Whether you are going north or south, it is an easy drive to most locations in the area (Point Reyes, the wine country, San Francisco, Muir Woods). The kitchen is well-stocked so it was easy to cook while we were there. The rooms are comfortable and the porch has a fantastic view. The area is quiet, yet grocery stores and restaurants are close by. The host family was great with communication. They got back with us right away and gave us excellent directions to the place, easy access when we arrived, and they even provided a list of restaurants, wineries, grocery stores, etc. to make our trip easier. I would highly recommend this home for families and/or couples.
Eileen, the owner, was incredibly accommodating. After a reservation that I made months before my wedding weekend fell through only two weeks before my big day (eek!), I searched frantically for another location. Eileen called me almost immediately after I had sent her a request. After hearing about my situation, she very generously offered to move her schedule around so that the house could be available to us. It was very nice of her to do this last minute change and she was super sweet on the phone.
The house itself was absolutely gorgeous and in a very secluded neighborhood. The front and outdoor decks are wonderful for relaxing and taking in the view. The house is stocked full of towels and blankets as well as a very nice kitchen. I highly recommend staying here. Also, a very easy check-in and check-out procedure.
Thanks again for the lovely stay. You made our wedding weekend so relaxed and peaceful. :)
My family had a very comfortable stay in this home! Mill Valley was a perfect base for sightseeing north of San Francisco. If we were to go again, we would skip the one night we stayed in a hotel in SF and spend our entire visit in this quiet, peaceful area! We didn't take the ferry back to SF, but it seems easy enough to do. We did tour Sausalito, Muir Woods, did a little hiking, explored Point Reyes National Seashore, and kayaked on Tomales Bay. There were plenty of restaurants and good coffee shops nearby, too!
We loved our stay, the house was neat & tidy, and had great views.
The roads are really narrow & windy getting up to the house, so be mindful especially at night, we even saw a couple of deer!
