It's called the Blue Lagoon home. A great Hawaii beach house with nice Hawaiian decor. Park the car and walk to the beach. It’s a 2 minute walk to White Sands Beach (aka, Magic Sands Beach) and a 10 minute walk to Kahalu’u Beach Park, one of Kona’s premier snorkeling spots. The Hawaii Warm home is a private home nestled in the quiet community of White Sands Estates. The home is built to feel as if you’re sleeping in the open tropical air and trees with detailed Hawiiana features throughout the home. The location is great for both the active person or just to sit and relax. After a day at the beach enjoy the sunset view from the Lanai and the living room or wash off the sand and jump in the private blue lagoon like pool.

This Hawaiian beach house is a great hub for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, wedding get together's and don't forget the annual Ironman world championship.

The property is dotted with palms, fruit and plumeria trees. The home sits in a quiet cul-de-sac in a friendly Kona neighborhood.

The home is a two story home with 2200 square feet. Five of the six bedrooms have its own private bath and entryway along with a private lanai. All the downstairs rooms have an upgraded feature of a wet bar for added convenience. The home has a separate stand-alone unit with a kitchenette for additional privacy. Great for birthdays, anniversaries and wedding get together's.

Upstairs: master bed with a queen and second bedroom with a full bed. Downstairs has two rooms with a queen, wet bar and private bath and lanai. Wet bar included. A third room consist of two twins with its own bath, private lanai and wet bar. The separate unit consists of a queen, private bath and kitchenette. All bedrooms have a TV and wet bar. The house also comes with a laundry facility and wireless.

We love this property because of its location, close to the beach, close to snorkeling and surfing and it's quit location.

'The feel of the home is hawaiian in and out. Our daily routine is, early morning run or walk on Al'i Dr. walk to either Magic Sands Beach Park or Kahalu'u Beach Park to snorkel. Come home wash of the sand at the outside shower and jump into the pool, then BBQ on the Lanai and watch sunset. Get an occasional golf game in or just simply just sit and relax.'

PERFECT FOR OUR WEEK-LONG 3 GENERATION FAMILY STAY

The pool is the highlight. Not only is it beautiful, there is a large shallow area and lots of sitting options in the form of underwater ledges. The tile and fish mosaics on the bottom as well as the waterfall (which runs on an automatic timer) add some fun. The deep end is just big enough to allow for refreshing dives in the pool. The largest dining table is poolside and our group of 9 ate dinner here most nights. Even the pool lighting was great.

The house is spacious. All 9 of us stayed in the main house (we did not use the studio). The 3 bedrooms on the lower level all have their own private entrances to the house. The living room was comfortable, and the breakfast bar in the kitchen was perfect for casual meals. The bar is a bit high, even for adults, but the kids never complained. Our favorite inside hang-out was the upstairs lanai with it's overhead fan, fresh breezes and views. Turned out to be a perfect spot to watch the fireworks shot off from the marina on the 4th of July. The laundry room with it's attached screen porch with plenty of space to hang clothes, swimming suits and towels out to dry was also in use constantly.

The beach is a few blocks away. Easy for adults, even if carrying snorkel gear or a boogie board (lots of such beach gear is stored at the house for use!). When we were there in summer, there was plenty of sand on the beach. There was even an often busy volleyball net. The waves were plentiful all week, making for great boogie boarding or body surfing. The waves were a bit too much for some of the kids in our group, though, and the snorkeling wasn't great. A mile south is a great snorkeling beach that we all enjoyed. That beach was pretty crowded and full of tourists, but who are we to complain about that. We saw turtles at both beaches.

The only downside for us was the overall layout of the house. There is one general entrance to the house in the front, but the driveway is in the back and the pool is on the side. One bedroom has a door to the driveway. Two bedrooms have doors poolside. We ended up constantly walking through these bedrooms for easy access to the driveway or pool. (The door to the studio is in the rear.) We had a few gecko visitors inside, but it's the tropics. We weren't concerned. Note that there are lots of open stairs (studio excepted).

The new owners and managers are wonderful. It was easy to get a hold of them, and they were attentive to anything we asked.
