We very much enjoyed our stay with you for a week last summer. Your hospitality was outstanding and we so enjoyed your charming cottage and the beauty of Lake Michigan. Hope to see you again next year.
All of our friends and family know that yearly we eagerly return to our "Magic Miniature Mushroom House" on Lake Muchigan. This year was no exception; the warm welcome by Karen and Phil; the ice bucket with champagne and the tray of good cheese, crackers, fresh-picked raspberries; the clean comfy cottage, the piles of fresh towels and linens, the cupboards stocked with all the cooking basics, the generous supply of wood for the firepit, the comfortable furniture on the extensive lawns sweeping down to Lake Muchigan; the beautiful days and glorious sunsets -- what more could one ask for in a holiday rental?! Next year, of course!
Beautiful view of lake, adorable cottage with everything you could ever need. Very well appointed; owner really thought of everything. Including chilled champagne, crackers and cheese upon arrival. Bikes for borrowing and close to town. Owners were a delight.
We loved the accommodations. This cottage couldn't be any more charming and comfortable. The rolling, spacious lawn overlooking Lake Michigan and the flower gardens were icing on the cake. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows on a bon fire one night, grilled locally caught walleye, rode the bikes that were provided, swam at the beach located down the street, searched for the perfect stones to take home, went to art galleries, ate at memorable restaurants, shopped at stores in the surrounding towns as well as in beautiful Charlevoix - we even had time to read, paint and watch the boats go by. All and all we had a wonderful vacation. The owners of the cottage were very warm, welcoming an accommodating.. Looking forward to a return visit.
We enjoyed our stay at your charming cottage. It was exactly the setting we were looking for; the lake view and the sunsets were terrific! The stone cottage along with the amenities were wonderful! We highly recommend your accommodation!
The Earl Young cottage was a fairy tale cottage with modern amenities. We loved it! It was clean, comfortable and cozy. While there we enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Charlevoix, the wineries of the Old Mission Peninsula near Traverse City, the Tunnel of Trees, walks on the beach and the search for Petoskey stones. Beautiful place!
Our stay here to celebrate our 20th anniversary could not have been more idyllic! Karen and Phil have thought of every detail to make it possible to do whatever you want, from exploring the area on bicycles, to enjoying the sunset from your seat by the campfire, to huddling on the comfy couch on a cool evening. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, the bed is very comfortable, and the grounds are as beautiful as can be (the view is pretty nice, too!). We were especially grateful to our hosts for accommodating our schedule. This was the perfect place to spend our second honeymoon. We only wish we had come here on our first one!
