6-7 bedrooms, 5-6 bathrooms, 16-18 people ( inc sofa bed extra two)

Sumptuous very private house completely private pool with spring board and alarm, inner walled garden with large lawned area. Surrounded by fields and farms. Ideal for a getaway and sight seeing holiday as 'Tafiart' is on the border of four departments. Tafiart is a private 'Home' therefore just like being at home with sunshine, peace and quiet yet Pau and all the fun it holds is 30 minutes maximum away. Several great restaurants within 2-10 minutes away as are 28 Vineyards.

Tafiart is great for a group as there are several 'Break-out' areas for some peace and quiet. For the 'Fois gras' lovers, you're living in the region and Jurancon, Madiran, are on the doorstep for wonderful wine. Also Eugenie Les Bains, famous health resort 10 minutes.

Flights and Location: Although I say the house is in Pyrenees Atlantiques it is right on the border of the Landes also. A great location for four regions! 25 minutes from Pau Airport, CityJet from London City low cost flights and Ryanair to Lourdes 45mins

Charles de Gaulle and Orly Air France at least 8 flights per day to Pau from 29 Euro.

Bordeaux and Biarritz BA and Easy Jets and Ryanair

Bergerac from Leeds Bradford Flybe sat to sat

Toulouse from Leeds Bradford with Jet2.

Toulouse/Manchester with Jet2 also

Location: This is my favorite place, I love the house and it has tranquility and is also a great place for friends to have a relaxed, yet party, atmosphere. We have mountain bikes and all sorts of games and books for every occasion.

On the Border of Four departments Les Landes, Pyranees Atlantique and Le Gers. Haute-Pyranees The Bearn is a very popular destination for the French as is Pays Basque all on the doorstep.

Also, Eugenie les Bains is ten minutes up the road. The most glamorous wonderful Health Spar Village and Michelin Star Restaurant.

There are tons of things to do for small people in the area and we have four mountain bikes for guests use.

The area is a bit unusual as there are literally four regions around with different things to offer. from beaches to walking to bars. Also lovely French farmers markets in all the towns and villages.

Fantastic French Farmhouse

This beautiful farmhouse far exceeded its written description and my expectations. Its character retains the best of French style but offers all those little 'comforts' - Egyptian cotton bedding and plump duvets, classy kitchenware and carefully thought out decor - these things matter . The owner has excellent taste!

The house is situated in tranquil farmland but is not too far from places you may need. A cycle ride (bikes in the barn) will get you to the best breakfast baguettes and pain du chocolat - bliss (Garlin 4km). The pool and outdoor areas are immaculately maintained and very private.

High levels of comfort and perfectly placed for a peaceful break, the house is nonetheless close to a number of cultural amenities should you wish to explore the region. We had a wonderful breakfast at Eugenie les Bains, a luxurious and very French hotel, spa and restaurant complex. We did Lourdes (very humbling) and Biarritz (very sassy!). How's that for contrasts?

I would definitely recommend this lovely place and I am looking forward to returning in the Spring.

A beautiful villa in a peaceful and tranquil location just outside the centre of pau and walking distance from amenities
Ideal for families looking for a relaxing break 'off the beaten track' but within driving distance to explore pau or ski the Pyrenees mountains!

Sun, tranquility and rustic charm

I stayed here with friends for a long weekend and had such a great stay. The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful with all the charm of a rustic farmhouse, but a little taste of luxury. The weather was beautiful and we spent most of our time relaxing in the garden, playing boules, croquet, cooling off in the outdoor pool and enjoying gin and tonics... The grounds are very pretty, without lots of space to enjoy in the privacy of walled garden.

The surrounding area is agricultural, which makes it great for going on walks through the cornfields and is very peaceful. There are a few villages a short drive away which means it’s easy to stock up on provisions, and also to experience some great local French food. Or if you want to travel a little further afield I recommend a drive to Pau, a historical city with beautiful classical architecture and many fantastic restaurants.

If you’re looking for a place to relax with friends or family, and enjoy rustic South West France, I couldn't recommend anywhere better. It was an absolute delight to stay here, and I hope to visit again very soon.

Gorgeous / Big / Intimate - all at the same time.

The home is a delight to be in, we were there for a New Years vacation with friends. A great home that welcomes you the instant you walk in the door.

This is a luxury farmhouse that allows you to indulge in the rural life with buckets of charm and a homely feeling. The surrounding areas are full of gorgeous restaurants and villages to explore, also traveling further afield is easy with excellent road networks linked us to Biarritz, San Sebastian and more.

Looking forward to going back again.
