Superbly located above the famous bay of Villefranche, the studio is within walking distance to the beach and Villefranche itself with its many shops & restaurants. The property boasts a large planted, south facing terrace, sloping towards the unique view over the bay towards Cap Ferrat & the sea. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. In addition to a dining table inside, there is a seating area for 4 and outside two more dining tables for 4 persons. The flat is southfacing and very sunny and warm in the winter. The flat is on the ground floor of this elegant apartment building and has its own attributed parking space close to the entrance of the building. The pool has the same stunning seaviews.
Infrastructure and Public transport: Public transport is very good in the region. The apartment is close to the old town, where you can find all daily essentials: very good butchers, bakeries, fishmonger, little supermarket, wine shop, flower shop, newsagent, etc, as well as a multitude of restaurants and cafes. There is a bus to Nice bus terminal from nearby several times an hour all day long. From there you can connect to a vast network of regional buses, ie. St Paul de Vence, Biot, the mountains behind Nice, La Turbie etc. Villefranche also has a train station with several trains an hour to Monaco or on to Italy, and the other way to Nice, Cannes or Antibes. There are several taxi companies available in the village. There are two car rental agencies where you can rent on short notice a car for any length of time.
Walking - Culture - Museums: There are many walks in the area, for example around Cap Ferrat, approx 1.5 hours. The walk to Beaulieu sur is approx 20 minutes. The area on the coast behind Villefranche is immediately quite mountainous and there are many trails which can be explored or hikes to be done with guides, both in summer and winter season. There are many museums and cultural institutions in the area, based on the rich cultural heritage of theregion (Nice: Museum of Modern Art, Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum; St. Paul de Vence: Foundation Maeght; Antibes: Picasso Museum; various Chapels with murals from Cocteau; St. Jean: Villa Ephrussi Rothschild, Villa Kerylos, many seasonal art exhibitions and festivals). The local tourist office has up to date information on all of this. There is also a Zoo on Cap Ferrat.
Water sports: There are many brokers locally who offer boats (sailing or motor) for rent, daily and long term, with or without skipper. Several places offer watersports such a water-skiing, wake boarding, pedalos, kite surfing or fun trips for children on plastic floaters. The beaches of Villefranche, and also La Petite Afrique and La Baie des Bourmis in Beaulieu all offer sun-bed rentals, full restaurant service, shower, changing rooms, water ski, wakeboarding, windsurfing etc. The Beaches of Eze, Nice and St. Jean Cap Ferrat are only minutes drive away

Without a doubt this is a lovely apartment in a great location and with a second-to-none level of service provided by owners Danka and Jacky (and daughter Natalia who handles the bookings). Our flight out from the UK was unfortunately subject to a significant delay, yet Jacky was still able to meet us at the apartment in the early hours of the morning to let us in and show us around. The apartment itself was spotless, modern (air conditioning, flatscreen cable TV, Bose sound system, DVD player, laptop & free wi-fi internet access), and a comfortable size for a couple, with additional ample outdoor space in the private garden which has a sheltered dining area, and a further table and chairs with a great view of the harbour and beach. The secure complex has a shared open-air pool which is perfect for an afternoon dip, and there is private parking should you be hiring a car, although we found that the proximity of bus stops & the local railway station made car hire unnecessary - it really is very easy and inexpensive to travel along the coast to visit the likes of Monaco, Nice, Cannes etc. The walk down into Villefranche-sur-Mer itself takes approximately 10 minutes – be warned that the walk back uphill can be a bit testing in hot weather but don’t let this deter you – the beach and harbour are very picturesque, the old town is beautiful, and there is an excellent choice of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets (our own recommendation would be Trastevere on the harbour-side). No wonder the cruise ships stop here for day trips! The cost of the apartment rental also includes a meal at Jacky and Danka’s restaurant Les Agaves in nearby Beaulieu-sur-Mer (3 mins away by train) – be sure to take advantage of this superb extra – excellent food and service in lovely surroundings. In short, we can’t recommend this apartment and this location highly enough, we had a fabulous week. If arriving at Nice airport, we would suggest arranging airport transfers in advance with Nice Airport Shuttle who provide reliable private chauffer-driven transfers in luxury cars at a price lower than taxi fares (buses have limited luggage space, and the walk from Villefranche train station to the apartment is uphill so can be a bit tricky with luggage). Thank you Danka & Jacky for being such excellent hosts and allowing us to use your lovely apartment for an unforgettable holiday. Jason & Kathryn, Manchester, UK.
My husband and I love staying in Villefranche! The apartment makes us feel like we are, indeed, living in one of the most lovely places on earth. Natalie does a great job of keeping us organized. Danka and Jacky are the most wonderful owners one can imagine. In a word, SUPERB!
great studio for two, beautfly furnished.
Terrace a little claustaphobic as bushes seperating from next door apartments left to grow to wide, would be a problem in summer with mosquitos.
overall a loverly place to stay.
This is a really beautiful apartment, with an absolutely stunning view of Villefranche Bay. This apartment is very well equipped and always spotlessly clean, and of course has a beautiful swimming pool that we have never found crowded, in fact during the day there is usually one or two other people in it. The owners Jacky and Danka are just lovely, they always make you welcome and cannot do enough for you, this is why we have been coming back year after year, and plan to hire this again in September.
This is my third stay at Danka and Jacky's studio at Residence Brasilia.
Once again, I wanted to thank my adorable hosts for their hospitality and service. The studio, Villefranche sur Mer and its surrounds remain my favourite place in the world. The pictures you see here are exactly what you get.
This is why I call this place my home away from home.
As we entered the studio and took in the view, we both did a little happy dance!
We spent the third and final week of our France trip in this beautiful studio apartment in the quaint little town of Ville Franche sur Mer. The apartment was exactly as advertised, stunning view, a lovely patio with very comfortable furnishings. The room was perfectly appointed and comfortable, the bathroom large and elegant. The kitchenette was brilliant, just enough room to create a wonderful meal which we did more than once. The stove top and oven worked most efficiently.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is ideal, a short walk to town (5 minutes) and a bus stop just outside the apartment complex to take you to Nice or Monaco. We enjoyed watching the various boats coming in, staying and then leaving the bay...anywhere from a 35ft sailboat to a 100 ft private yacht to a 700 ft small ocean liner to the big daddy of a 1400 ft Royal Cruise liner. Our stay in Ville Franche was the perfect ending to our trip and we highly recommend this property! Laura and Stan
Villefranche sur mer is ideally located between the international hubs of Nice and Monaco. Dating back to the 14th Century, Villefranche is a picturesque gem with many historic buildings, cobble stone streets and archways, an array of delicious restaurants and interesting boutiques. Much quieter and more charming than its busy neighbours, it offers a large beach with all the various water sports. . One can easily explore the region through a great network of public transport - buses and trains connect to Beaulieu, Monaco and further to Italy on one side and on the other towards Nice, Antibes, Cannes or the mountains.
Golf: The golf clubs of Monaco, Opio, Mougins and Cannes all welcome visitors and are only a short drive away.
Ski: There are a number of good ski resort located close enough for a day trip. For example Isola 2000 and Auron in France or Limone in Italy. All can be reached by car - approx 1 1/2 hours drive or by public transport. There is also a large variety of accommodation in these resorts for overnight stays and it can be booked over the internet.
