The description was everything we expected. This place doesn't have air conditioning like all places in the area, wasn't necessary; just FYI for out of staters. We had 2 children age six and 9 months. It was perfect. Owner was very responsive and proactive. Was willing to baby proof/kid proof to make sure it was comfortable and safe. The stairs from the upper level to lower level are a little steep. So may not be good for older people that have trouble with stairs. The master suite downstairs was very nice. The coffee pot was broken when we were there and we had a new one in less than 30 min. The owners are very friendly and responsive. Mosiqutoes are a little pesky at dusk but thin out as the night darkens. Boat ramp and beach is within walking distance. Boat rental at lake side is your best bet, Big fork was a little too far. We had a great time and made great memories. This place is secluded and has great views and is a relaxing get away. Would Go back without a doubt. Prime location close to Kalispell and Whitefish which are neat towns. First VRBO experience and was not disappointed. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends.
What a lovely place for a family vacation! We had so much fun playing the backyard and enjoying the lake view. The kitchen is fabulous, and the entire living space encourages relaxation.
Great setup. Great location. Great amenities. Reasonably priced. Wish we had more time to stay longer. Definitely better than staying in a hotel.
Stayed here for a family vacation. Beautiful location and very comfortable accommodations. There is a large yard for frisbee or other games and a nice deck for relaxing and enjoying the view. The lake is a short walk away and there is a great running trail as well. Close to Glacier National Park, this was the perfect place for a week of family fun. Such a peaceful and relaxing setting.
From a peaceful view of the lake as we drank our morning cup of coffee to an afternoon nap in the hammock, or starlit soak in the hot tub, this elegant BnB made our family vacation wonderful!
Stay here if you're looking for:
Within walking distance of the lake and running trails
Space for a crowd (we had 9 people)
Full kitchen for Cooking plus outdoor grilling options
Yard to play Frisbee in
Space to play games/watch TV simultaneously
Great local shopping and entertainment (Check out Fork's summer theatre)
Outdoor adventures (Hiking/river rafting)
What keeps me from giving it 5-stars:
We stayed here in 2012 before it was officially open, and some of the expectations around kitchen/laundry use were not clearly defined. That being said, the owners accommodated our every request right away. I would expect a return visit to be even better if not flawless.
Mosquitoes were also pesky at times. A bit more Deet and citronella might have solved it.
Overall, this location made a beautiful, affordable, relaxing venue for a group vacation.
