One of the oldest homes in the area built with handhewn beams and upgraded with all the conveniences. Sitting on 16 acres guests can hike up to the top with a wonderful view of the Adirondack mountains and hear the whistle of the Adirondack tour train. There's so many attactions to visit , but if you'd like to stay in on a rainy day, or otherwise, the house offers a pooltable 'mancave', board games and tv and movies. Lots to do without even going out. Please consider reading the positive 'reviews' at our other vacation rentals listed on vrbo.com and know that we strive for the same quality here, too. They are # 300732, # 459630 and # 499745.
My parents actually manage this home for me as I served 9 years in the army and deployed to Iraq for 3 tours. After my first tour, an elderly lady in the community, who was best friends with my grandmother, inquired of me about purchasing her home since she was downsizing. At 22 years old, I purchased this home from her with my savings as a down payment and she held the mortgage with me. I've found it to be the best decision I could have made with my savings and now have decided to have my parents, Kent and Glenda Duell, manage a vacation rental for me, as my wife and I live in Texas. The renovated cabin is a wonderful plus to the property and I can't wait to visit and stay in it for the fall hunting season.
Owner/Manager Glenda Duell purchased this farmhouse in 2005
