A peaceful pollution free weekend away from the city!

We needed to get away from the noise and intensity of the city. We wanted a quiet, secluded place to stay, with a deck or balcony where we could sit and listen to the birds and look out at nature. This place had everything we wanted (plus the sound of a brook), and the travel time was minimal (3+ hours in traffic).
We enjoyed the condo very much; the kitchen was large and a pleasure to cook in, we loved having coffee and reading out on the balcony. We went for a mini-hike across the stream into the woods. We did find some fresh bear droppings (it WAS Bear Mountain, after all!) and cut our wanderings short, sunbathing on a large rock on the side of the pond for a while instead. It was lovely.
The photos and description are quite accurate.
We did have a few questions about the cleaning of the place that had been done before we arrived; we called the owners and they were helpful and responsive. We definitely plan to go back, and we would definitely recommend the place to friends.
The town of Windham is sleepy, the main street is nice to walk on, a few neat shops to wander through (but not the dollar store- it smells like feral cats!). We weren't there for activities, attractions or restaurants, so can't really say much about that.
