You will be staying in a little detached house set in a landscape garden from which you will be able to catch a glimpse of the sea.The area ,aptly named " Mount Paradise", is very peaceful and residential;it is just over a mile from the sea and mile from the shops.( There is a lovely provencal market every Thursday) You will be able to relax on a deck chair by the pool or visit the many places of interest in the area. Unless you are keen on sports, in which case you will be able to go boating , windsurfing , diving , cycling , hiking,etc... Feel free to phone for more information , your hostess is perfectly bilingual.

Carqueiranne is a charming little seaside resort 5 miles from Hyères'railway station and airport and 6,5 miles from Toulon railway station. You will be able to take the ferry to the island or Porquerolles from hyères'harbour(5 miles away),visit the lovely village of Bormes les Mimosas(15 miles away),stroll around St Tropez(35 miles away) or drive to Cassis ( 35 miles away) to take the boat to the beautiful rocky inlets along the coast.If you drive 58 miles to the north, you will be able to visit Aix en Provence and the countryside around Aix which inspired Paul Cezanne. All the year round, you will be able to join in the various events organized by the town or the regional council, such as the flower festivals in the spring,entertaining shows in the summer , jazz festivals,various festivals around local produce(the olive festival in August,the figue festival in September, the chestnut festival in N ovember,the Xmas fairs and the beautiful automated nativity scenes around Xmas time.
