Villa Olivia is situated on a hill with olive grooves with a spectacular view on the bay of Finikunda, on the south-western tip of the Peloponnese in the province of Messinia; a harmony of peace and beauty. The house was built in 2005 and it has 2 apartments on the ground floor and one on the first floor, each with a covered terrace and beautifull views also on the Tayegetos mountains. the breeze, coming from the sea makes it, even in summer, agreeable to sit among the olive trees in the garden.There you can also use a traditional oven to make your own bread or bake a pizza! The nearest beach ( Mavrovoumi) can be reached by foot in 20 minutes and in 5 minutes by car.

The studio (30 m2) is on the ground floor and is suitable for 2 people (a third bed can be added), with an open, fully equipped, kitchen, a dining table and 2 chairs, 2 single beds, a large bathroom and a terrace with beautiful view on the sea, olive groves and the bay of Finikunda. It is also accessible for wheelchairs.

The nearest village is Finikunda (2,5 km) scattered with small, often authentic taverna's and restaurants, right at the shore. You can also visit the premontary in Methoni, a crumbled castle overlooking the expansive seas or the ancient site in Pylos, previously a monastry, now a well-kept open-air museum. The 40 km of coast between Roumanou and Koroni, through Voidikilia, Pylos and Methoni, let me tell you, is breathtaking!. It is the last region in Europe that isn't yet spoiled by mass-tourism. Lovers of sailing, surfing and diving come here from everywhere to enjoy their passions. Voidikilia is a protected nature site (Natura 2000) with theYialova Lagoon and its fantastic birdlife, chameleons, sea turtles, ancient castle and stunning cove of Nestor!

Wir haben eine Woche im Juli 2009 im Appartement des Hauses von Sabine und Bruno gelebt und uns dort sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Die Räume einschl. der Terrasse sind großzügig geschnitten. Sogar an Barrierefreiheit wurde gedacht. Die liebvoll zusammengestellte Möblierung und Ausstattung trafen genau unseren Ferienhaus-Geschmack. Die Gastgeber versorgten uns mit guten Tipps sowie Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass der zweite Schlafbereich nur durch eine halbhohe Wand von dem Wohnküchenbereich getrennt ist.
Wir haben die vielen gemeinsamen Gespräche mit unseren warmherzigen, weltoffenen Gastgebern sehr genossen.

Beautiful villa with superb view

We had a very pleasant and nice stay in one of the studios of Villa Olivia. The studio is nice, clean, well maitained and well-outilized with a really superb view on the bay of Finikunda. It is very pleasant to sit on the covered terrace of the studio looking on the bay. You can choose to sit in the sun or in the shade as well on the terrace as in the garden with olive trees. It is queit and peaceful. Also this part of the Peloponnese is not so crowded with tourists and still you can find beaches and nice places to go. In spring it is really wonderful to go for walks in the hills, with a richness of flowers, tapestries of flowers and such lovely smell of the orange blossom and other trees.
The owners of Villa Olivia are very nice people. They make you feel welcome there. I really can recommend Villa Olivia for a very pleasant stay.

Being greeted very heartily at arrival I would like to express my appreciation for this most comfortable studio on this quiet spot which definitely met all my expectations. The facilities are very convenient and clean and the furnishing is cozy. Also enough closet space.
The spacious balcony gives you a chance to relax while enjoying an extraordinary view of the ocean and mountains which still had snow on the top.
In the back garden there is an extra terras where you can enjoy the olive orchard. The ocean is just a 20 minute stroll an In the nearby environment lots of opportunity to go tracking and to get acquainted with life in this part of Greece.
I would say this is the perfect place to be and I am already looking forward to coming again.

beautifull apartment with breathtaking views

The apartment is very comfortable with awesome views on the Mediterenean. I spend countless hours looking at the sea whil relaxing on the balcony. It takes about 20 min. to walk down to the beach; you can find anuthing you need there. I highly recomend the beach between methoni and Finikounda. This regon of the Peloponnese is really fantastic; we can't wait to come back!
