Cozy Cabin, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cabin in early March and could not have been more pleased. The cabin is cozy, very clean, well-appointed, and exactly as pictured/described in the VRBO listing. We were reminded of how beautiful northern Michigan is no matter the season- even winter! Our recommendation list would include taking the short walk down the trail and boardwalk to the river behind the cabin, a visit to Short's Brewery in nearby Bellaire, and enjoying the view from Torch Lake Cellars.

Perfect North Woods Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We went to the cabin for Valentine's Day weekend. After a blustery, slick drive, the cozy A-frame nestled in the woods was exactly what we needed (and wanted). We spent relaxing hours reading by the fire, cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, watching the DVDs they provided, and taking walks in the snowy woods and down to the nearly frozen river. This is a great place. Very highly recommended.

INCREDIBLE!

  • 5 of 5

We had our honeymoon at the Up North Couple's Getaway... and it was excellent! Far above what even the pictures show. It was so clean and it felt like home... we didn't want to leave! The trail leading out to the river was amazing too! We will definitely be coming back some day! Thanks again!!

Perfect place for a getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My hubby and I decided to go north for our anniversary this year. We both have a hard time justifying staying at a hotel for the prices they go for. We dislike eating out every meal as well. After a little searching, we found this gem! This cabin is perfect for two and even has a blow up mattress for extra guests! The area has the perfect amount of seclusion! Everything was clean and well maintained/shoveled. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need to cook, just bring food! There's a basket with local papers, food menus, and travel brochures from the surrounding areas. The trail to the river...we loved it! Even though it was snowy out, we bundled up and took the short trek. So worth it! I have nothing but good things to say about this place! We can't wait to come back!

Amazing Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I decided to escape our usual noisy city/suburban lifestyle and venture to the wonderful town of Bellaire, Michigan. This cabin was absolutely perfect, 10/10 and if you are reading this, please do yourself the favor and stay here. Tucked away off a quite road, the pure silence of the woods and nature was the ultimate display of peace. The A Frame came equipped with everything we needed for a few days/nights. We came up during a massive snow storm which made our getaway more special I believe. Sitting by the fireplace was extremely cozy while the snow fell at night. One of the nights we went skiing at Shanty Creek (highly recommend) and the other night we went to the famous Short's Brewery. During one of the mornings we journeyed down to the river threw the trees on a special dock pathway and the view there was breathtaking! Overall, we will be coming back as soon as we find the time to! The cabin is simply flawless! The owners are so kind and will make sure you enjoy your stay!

PERFECT UP NORTH CABIN

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice, peaceful weekend Up North and definitely found it with this cabin. The place was very charming, well-kept and proved to be everything we hoped for in a Winter Retreat. We enjoyed hiking around the property and down the boardwalk to the river. It was a beautiful, picturesque setting in the snow. We also ventured to Traverse City for an afternoon and snowshoe hiked through Sleeping Bear Dunes. Shorts Brewery lived up to the hype and was a short 10 minute drive from the cabin. Kristi was extremely responsive and available to answer any questions or concerns we experienced. I would highly, highly recommend this cabin. We hope to return next year.
