Bay Tree cottage is a quiet 600 square foot, one bedroom cottage. It is located in an older residential neighborhood conveniently near shopping, the Santa Rosa airport, Sonoma wine country and the gorgeous Sonoma Coast.
The art-filled cottage is equipped with a full kitchen and all the amenities you need to cook. There is a washer/dryer in the walk in Master bedroom closet. A Queen sized bed includes a Tempurpedic topper our guests have raved about. The full sized living room couch makes into a bed and we have a portable crib for guests with infants. We provide all linens, spa robes, shampoo, soap, and home made granola, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee/tea for your first breakfast here.
The cottage has a private enclosed back patio which provides views of our in-ground, unheated pool. The pool is shared by the owners but guests have privacy in it when they want to swim. Our McNab/Huskie mix dog, Lucy, is onsite and enjoys meeting our guests. She can visit with you in your patio if you like, or you can close the gate for a dog-free space. We share this 1/3 acre property so we're on site to answer any questions and deal with any issues, but the property is landscaped so you can never see us at all. It's up to you.
This is a non-smoking, no (additional) pets property ideally suited for adults or adults with infants. Parents with older children must supervise carefully as the pool is unfenced.
Our guests have enjoyed the convenience of the cottage to area sites such as the coast, Napa and Sonoma wine country, our many beautiful regional parks and gourmet restaurants. San Francisco is an easy hour's drive as well.

We both love Sonoma County as a place to live and enjoy. The physical surroundings are beautiful, the weather is great, and the community is warm and welcoming. From the redwoods to the ocean, there is an endless variety of natural wonder.
Larkfield is a quiet, unincorporated village in Sonoma County. A few blocks away is a small shopping center with an excellent grocery and good restaurants, and there are world-class restaurants within a few minutes' drive. Scenic beauty is everywhere, as are many outstanding wineries. You'll find great music (we'll let you know about festivals and clubs), great food (we keep a list of our favorite eateries in the Cottage), and great people in this area, as well as easy access to hiking (great regional, state and national parks nearby), biking (you'll see groups of cyclists everywhere in the area), kayaking (on the Russian River, Tomales and Bodega Bays, and the Sonoma Coast if you're feeling adventurous) , and much more.
The cottage was exactly the experience we were looking for. It was exactly as adverised, close to
hiking areas and wineries in Healdsburg. The cottage was clean, well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. The hosts were helpful, professional, very friendly, and we never really knew they were right next door but were glad they were in the event we needed anything. Email and text correspondence was very attentive and easy to use to communicate with the hosts. Definitely will revisit next time we're in need of a stay in the area.
