Great Location Even in A Cape Gale

Arrived a little later than originally planned due to lost luggage on flight from the UK but Ann was waiting to greet us (myself, my wife, my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren) and show us around and acquaint us on the features.
The directions from Ann were "spot-on" and got us to the main gates of the Beach Club. We followed another car into the complex (we did not have the gate code- Ann an omission?)
There is everything that you could conceivably require in this villa.
Internet access is via a Vodacom satellite celfone which "eats" megabytes, especially if facebook is used or graphic files are downloaded. Top-up is available at the Vodacom store in the nearby shopping complex.
Electricity is meter by a pay-as-you-go meter in the basement, I suggest that you monitor the usage as we ran out of "juice" on the fifth night and needed to top up the meter with more energy which is payable at the Spar supermarket in Hout Bay Main St. (Ann, I suggest that you edit your villa manual with instructions on getting the timer for the lights reset after a power cut)
The weather during our stay was "mixed" with 2 days of a howling Cape gale which dumped a lot of sand over the coast road but the mixed weather did not impact our activities greatly, except for the grandchildren playing on the beach.
Ann recommended the Wharfside Grill and Fish-on-the-Rocks. Wharfside was really nice with interesting marine artifacts on display. Despite the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor we had an excellent meal. We also tried the Lookout Grill along the wharf from the Wharfside grill but we were not very impressed. maybe eating outside would have a better ambiance than the cafe interior but that was not an option in the wind and rain. Fish on the Rocks has great quality fish and chips and a low price. It closes between 20:00 and 20:30hrs.
Would we stay again if we were in Hout bay? most definitely!!!
