About Antonia Sotgiu & Roy Clark
I am an Opera Singer and my husband is a French Polisher. My father was from Alghero and came to England in the late sixties. As a child , I came to Alghero every year for our summer holiday and to visit family. In those days there weren't direct flights and we would always have to go to the mainland first. When Ryanair started to fly here it made it so much easier and so we decided that it was a good time to buy somewhere for ourselves to stay.
Antonia Sotgiu & Roy Clark purchased this apartment in 2003
Why Antonia Sotgiu & Roy Clark chose Old Town (Alghero)
We love Alghero's old town with everything on your doorstep. Looking out of the window and watching the world go by is very entertaining. There's no better place to be to experience the real Italy. You can walk around the old town walls by the sea, eating an ice-cream watching the sunset over Capo Caccia or sit at a bar having morning coffee and a cake whilst people watching and looking at the sea. The beaches are walking distance along a beautiful promenade or you can cycle on the purpose built cycle lane. There's no need for a car but if you did want to travel further afield, the bus station is nearby.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Had a fantastic time here. It was our first trip to Sardinia and we have loved it. Over the week we went to 4 different restaurants/pizzerias. I highly recommend El Pultal on Via Columbano. It's a great pizza restaurant and the staff are lovely. It's reasonably priced and the pizzas are amazing. We have all had a really good time and hope to be back soon.
The flat was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Thanks to Antonia and Roy for all the tips and guidance with the flat and the local area, especially with the parking and the restaurants.
