$495 per night special An elegant 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home located in the exclusive Portlock area of Honolulu. The home has a spectacular indoor pool located in the center of the home and views of the ocean. Decorated in a contemporary style, this property blends the elegancy of an upscale property with the relaxation of island life.

PLEASE NOTE: The pool does not have a fence around it and is therefore not recommended for small children.

The garage is for owner use only. There is covered two car parking for guests use.

NIGHTLY RATES:

$605.00 - $715.00 up to 6 guests, $35 per additional guest

Cleaning Fee - $250

Reservation Fee - $100

The house has great views and that is all; there was so much mold the master toilet it was not useable. The metal furniture is rusted; the screen in the kitchen is ducted taped in place; there is no moisture control for example no dehumidifier - we had to spend the last two nights at a hotel due to the bugs and mold was starting to cause health concerns. Also the furniture looks like you stepped into 1970's- I did contact management upon arrival with no response; they did refund $1500 which is a minor amount for the amount issues experienced.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feelings about Portlock Vista. Management did take this concern about mold very seriously. A post check out inspection showed nothing of the sort. The main issue the client had that was relevant was a "mold" discovery. This wasn't brought to the table until they only had 2 days left of their stay. We respond to all emergencies 24 hours a day. The decision to have guest move off property and refund the guests for the nights not stayed was a more than fair solution. All photos shown on our web site are accurate and up to date. We care for all our homes as if they were are own and wouldn't want any guests to stay in a that home we wouldn't.

A very nice place to stay

The bottom line is that this home is a nice place to stay. There are several pros and cons, which i will list seperately.

PROS:
-Million dollar view! Absolutely fantastic view.
-I loved the layout of this house. It is very spacious and comfortable.
-There were a ton of little things that were very nice suprrises. Things like a stock of great becah towels, nice bath towels, laundry soap, plenty of hand soap, rice cooker, coffee pot, blender, salt/sugar/spices.
-The management company was great.

CONS:
-This house has a minor bug problem. In the master bathroom there were tons of these small black bugs that would be dead in the tub. So you clean them out before using the tub, and halfway through your bath there would be more dead bugs floating. Where do they all come from!? There were also tons of centipedes/milipedes in the 1/2 bathroom.
-The pool looks amazing, but its essentially not useful because it is ice cold.

We too agree that Portlock Vista is a destination of it's own with an indoor pool and giant deck with amazing coastal views! In Hawaii there does tend to be bug issues when small trash and crumbs are left behind. We do urge all of our guests to contact us with any issues as we are on island.
