Amazing Tipp Pier House

Well firstly the pictures do not do this house justice! The house is perfect for a quiet break and is much much bigger than it looks!
There were 8 of us who stayed in the house and the location was perfect for us as we have family in Inver, Gorthmelia and Bunnyhowen. The en-suites were a god send, as were the bikes and the tennis court, which kept the kids very entertained. It was nice to see them not watching tv at all! Willie also made us feel very much at home. The view from the house is beautiful and we were blessed with excellent weather, it only rained once.
The big turf fire was also nice as it reminded me of the years we used to come back to ireland every summer.
It was also lovely to meet Geraldine the owner and put a face to the person who we had booked it with. She even showed us around her own home next door! There was lots of information in the house about the local area which was useful as it pointed out spots for fishing and sightseeing. We took a trip out to Inniskea Island one and that is something i can highly recommend to everyone. Michael and Billy of Blacksod do the boat trips and it really has to be seen to be believed.(Ask in the Petrol Station in Blacksod thats owned by Billys brother Micky) They even caught us some mackerel while we were on the island which we BBQ'd that evening.
I can thoroughly recommend this house to eveyone and we will certainly be booking for next summer if its not already booked :-)
Overall an amazing holiday and it was nice to be back in Ireland. Stunning house in a perfect location.
Cant wait to return.
Owner's Response: I enjoy meeting all my guests, and I have many who return year after year. It is a pleasure sharing my experience of the surroundings with them and their families. I believe that the personal touch is very important and fell this helps people to relax and enjoy their holiday. The recently added tennis court has proved especially popular for guests of all ages.
Geraldine.

Belmullet

5 stars for this accommodation.! Our family joined us from Canada and what a time we had in this beautiful part of Ireland. Where to start!
Firstly, the house and the hosts. Typical Irish hospitality and friendliness. We were made most welcome with a roaring fire and tea in the pot for our arrival.
The surroundings---a bleak but stunning beauty is to be had. Visits to local beauty spots are not far away. Our dog enjojed the numerous beaches--our favourite just through Belmullet. Get there early and be the only ones on the beach.
So, Geraldine we will return and thanks for a lovely holiday. Who knows when all the family will be together again, but your hospitality played a big part in our enjoyment of our trip. The family are back to Canada but we have the photos!!

Belmullet retreat

Cal from Kildare Kildare, Ireland
Review Submitted: August 8, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
I must say that the week I spent in this house ranks among the best holiday breaks I have taken in the last 10 years. I was amongst a group of 10 people and everybody felt the same way. From the time we arrived, everything in the house was set-up to facilitate having a relaxing vacation (complimentary tea, milk etc with a personal note from the owners). The Tennis court out the back of the house (with Tennis rackets and balls provided) was a bonus. The house itself is deceptively large inside. Nearly all rooms are en-suite and more than adequate. Anyone who has been there or goes there will know what i am talking about. I dont think the photos on the web-site do it justice. The house is about 200 metres from a small beach and peer. The view from the house is also beautiful. We made use of the BBQ every evening that the weather permitted. If you are looking for a really comfortable get-away for a break, in a nice area, this house is it. I will definitely be recommending this house to my family and friends.
Owner's Response: A very nice group of people,
