About Janice Lynch
My family and I have been going to Bethany Beach for over 40 years now and many warm special memories come to mind of times with family and friends!
When I was very young, we rented different places. At the age of 10, my dad decided to buy our first place. It was simple, quaint, and provided lots of family work weekends for us growing up. Later, we acquired this current property which is well-suited for all year 'round.
When we began traveling to Bethany Beach, it was not a very well-known place. In the off-season, we had to go quite a ways to get groceries or to go shopping in general. But over the years, Bethany has become one of the most sought after locations of family beaches on the coastline. It is well-kept, clean, friendly, family-oriented, and now there are many shopping opportunities, grocery stores, and fun activities to do close by.
Personally, I prefer the off-season because I am not into the main beach kinds of activities like sunbathing or swimming in the ocean. I like to take long walks down to the WWII fort in nearby Fenwick, to buy special beach treats like frozen custard on the boardwalk, caramel corn, or D.B. French Fries, or to drive to close by state parks for biking or picnicking among the horses.
Bethany is the central beach so most attractions are with 10-15 miles on either side of it if you want to venture outside of Bethany itself. However, there is plenty to do within walking distance, including a very nice library.
Why Janice Lynch chose Bethany Beach
Hidden Harbour is unique to all the other locations in Bethany. I have a friend who is a Realtor in Bethany and she has perused every property in town and outside of town over the last 3 decades or more, and she says that she has found nothing better than our community at Hidden Harbour.
The huge grassy yard outside is unlike anything else that you will see. It's great for the kids to play in as you sit on the deck and enjoy.
Playing ball, throwing a frisbee, and even flying a kite are frequent outdoor activities enjoyed.
Hidden Harbour is also located along a beautiful canal down at the end. Different varieties of birds can be seen, and people like to enjoy crabbing, or slipping a canoe in the water.
One can walk everywhere in Bethany from Hidden Harbour. For those who want a scenic tour, a colorful trolley will pick you up from the bench outside to wind you through neighborhoods outside of town and then take you downtown to the boardwalk for .25/person. Very quaint and memorable.
What makes this townhome unique
Enjoy the beach in the morning and the in-season pool in the afternoon. Exercise while playing tennis or taking a long walk. Local bike rentals can take you even further on a new excursion. This home is well-kept, feels like home, and constantly updated.
