Walk from racou to collioure: The best tourist walk on the sea shore in this region

A 45min walk; starting from Racou beach on the seashore until you reach Collioure; it’s a dreamlike signposted path, in front of the sublime colours of the jetty and highly recommended for children (but unfortunately not for pushchairs).

Take this walk in the morning at about 10:00 a.m., at sunrise; it is about a 45 min walk so completely reasonable! A quick meal in about Collioure and back in the afternoon.

Lovely family villa with brilliant swimming pool

We had a brilliant holiday in this lovely family villa. There were 5 adults and 5 children and plenty of room for us all. The location was amazing, right next to the beach and we loved our morning cycles to the boulangerie.
The property was very clean and well maintained. The garden was great and the pool was a perfect temperature and lovely and clean.
The customer service was great and the owners were very helpful.
My only comment would be that there should be some more mugs in the property and perhaps some plastic cups and bowls for small children. Other than that it was perfect and we would definitely recommend to family and friends!

We have introduce this year a new prestation with the transfer to the airport of Perpignan.

The convenience shops within less than 300 m are the following: a mini market, a pizzeria, a bakery-patisserie, a very nice Catalan wine merchant! A supermarket with its small shopping centre: 600 m by bike. The butcher shop 'chez Carlos' is a reference: best spicy and Catalan sausages in town for a reasonable price!

The local market, situated by the beach, 500 m further, takes place twice a week.

For early risers, you can buy fresh fish at the beaches of Port de St Cyprien.

This fish, caught in the night and sold at unbeatable prices, is sold from 8:30 a.m. (in season) by the fishermen.

Very pleasant, the mackerel or the fresh sardines from the Mediterranean on the grill!

Golf: The international golf of Saint-Cyprien is 1 km away from the house. It is an 18 hole course of reference; the fields are wonderful and always well-kept. The competitions take place throughout the year, with a peak time in June.

Skiing: We don't need to sell you Font Romeux ski resort; it is only 1 h by car from the house. Bigger and upper crust, the Andorra la Vella ski resort in Spain is 15 km further.

Bathroom on the ground floor accessible for persons with limited mobility; another bathroom upstairs, as well as a small shower room. The two bathrooms on the pictures have porcelain wash basins with built in storage space and large mirrors. (1 hair dryer and 1 iron are available). Sheets, bath and beach towels are included in the rate starting from September 15th 2012.

All bedrooms, tiled and spacious, are equipped with dressing room and new bedding, 1 bed of 160 x 190 cm, 2 140 x 190 cm beds and 6 beds of 90 x 190; the pillows are of 50x50 cm. 2 Bedrooms have a view of the pool and the Pyrenees, 1 on the garden and the 2 others on the sea and the beach; the beach and the sea are 300 m from the house; where the market takes place twice a week. All bedrooms have air-conditioning (3 silent air-conditioning units can cool the entire house, if you would like!). This is very useful for warm weather in the region or to take a nap in the afternoon. 3 Bedrooms with white LED television of 82 cm: in the air-conditioned lounge, upstairs. A convertible sofa-bed is available, as well as a baby cot of 120 x 60; sleeping arrangements for 15 people.

Notes:
The lawn maintenance and the pool's suction are done every week (from beginning of April until the end of October) by an external service provider. An automatic watering waters the plants at night. This helps the olive tree last of at least 80 years old, the palm trees and bougainvillea and all the vegetation stand the warm weather of the region duringt the day. 6 Mountain bikes, two of which for children, are at your disposal. A sliding isolating picture window with about 2m wide mirror connects the two kitchens in the two apartments. This allows, if you wish, to have a guest space of around 85sq.m with 5 sliding picture windows opposite the pool and the garden. Convenient, if you would like to eat together or prefer to have some privacy from the children, while keeping an eye on them. Since early 2012, a heat pump has been installed, as well as a wireless connection and 5 large screen televisions.
