Sweet, Memorable Family Gathering

  • 5 of 5
Stayed for a weekend in October to celebrate a family memorial. The owner was kind enough to let us check in almost 5 hours early and bring our dog. The cabin is really amazing - and well stocked with little things you forget to bring - but it's so close to everything, that you can really feel like it's your second home. The house is in a quiet area very close the forest and we walked down to the lake a couple times and appreciated how close it was to the lake and that it was still far enough away from the busy lower neighborhood and stores. We loved sipping coffee on the front deck and letting the dog wander around on the beaches. It was a big moment for our family and appreciated the care and attention that clearly went into setting up this vacation rental. Will definitely come back.

An enchanting vacation at a beautiful classic log cabin with a soothing hot tub and sauna

  • 5 of 5
I've usually spent my summer/fall vacation in Tahoe City or Truckee, but wanted to be closer to the Stateline Casinos for the shows/entertainment and Kings Beach was the perfect option. I am now back in the daily grind and dreaming about another vacation at this cabin once it starts snowing.
The owner was super attentive and very personable throughout the whole booking process - felt like I was just staying at a friend's cabin. I loved all the outdoor deck areas, darts, and the open floor plan downstairs - all made for an amazing space to spend time with family and friends. The house was immaculately cleaned and incredibly well stocked so it felt like you were staying at a second home. Unbelievably, the owner even left a bottle of wine, some cheese and a fruit basket with a kind note sharing some of the fun things to do in the area.
We loved strolling to the beach in the evening as the sunset, and the taxi service to the Stateline was only 6 bucks each way and the concerts there were incredible. The hiking behind the house was awesome and gave us a lovely view of the lake. And every night we looked forward to coming back and winding down in the hot tub.
I can't wait until the ski season starts up at Northstar, and am hoping to spend a couple weeks at this cabin. Gonna be so fun.

Cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5
This place was just the right fit for my friends and I. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, we were entertained. Myself and seven of my friends stayed at the Log Cabin a few weeks ago and I can't say enough great things. The cabin is walking distance to two different beaches, Safeway, Rite Aid, and a quick drive down to the Casinos. The cabin was cozy but spacious. The back deck was great, we played darts for hours and then BBQ'd at night. We also took advantage of the hot tub which was cleaned and ready for us to use when we got there. There were more than enough cooking utensils so we cooked in two nights. They also have a foosball table which kept us entertained while we were not sitting by the Lake. I would recommend this place to a larger group of people. Overall, awesome experience and we hope to come back again next summer!

Great Place & Great Location

Great Place & Great Location

My husband and I own our own business so we don't get away often. Luckily I sent Jacob was an awesome, accommodating owner and quick to respond to messages because we were able to schedule a last minute get away. This place was much larger than I expected and a perfect location. The lake, shopping, dining, and bike trails are very close and convenient. The cabin is well equipped with everything including games and puzzles. We will be renting there again for sure!

Everything we had hoped for and more!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I have been coming up to Tahoe since 1995, when my wife and I were married at Caesar's. Since 2005, we've flopped back and forth between shores as we often would come up in the winter as well. With that, we've made North Shore our sole summer vacation spot for the better part of the last 10 years.

This particular trip had a special meaning for us as my father passed in Jan. of 2013, and it's been an extremely difficult road for my family and myself since then. With that, my oldest daughter and I had discussed bringing his ashes to spread them in the lake. We wanted to do this so that we could feel that he will always be there with us, and now he will be. It was a special moment for us as a family when we spread some of his ashes and said our "goodbyes."

The reason that I chose this home for his intimacy and proximity to the lake, and the price was completely within our budget. As described, it's not a luxury cabin, but has the accommodations that we needed, as we have small dogs. As far as entertainment purposes go, due to the drastic drought conditions, the Truckee River Rafting Company was closed for the season, so we spent Sunday through Tuesday at the lake, which is 3-4 blocks from the cabin. This is essential as the kids were able to jet-ski and parasail and just chill out on the lake with our big raft. This served as a much needed relaxation and time with each other, that I'm already longing for again.

If you're looking for an intimate and affordable stay in Kings Beach, then contact the owner Jacob. He's a REAL down to Earth guy that seems to share the same affinity for North Shore as we do. We've already reserved a week for next summer and my wife and I will definitely make it back up for a weekend trip in the winter if time permits.
