Villa in Var, Cote d´Azur, Provence, France: On a calm wooded hillside near the ancient village of Montauroux & close to the beautiful Lac S:t Cassien, this villa faces south with a nice view overlooking the Esterel hills. The property has a large & secluded garden of 4 000 sqm. with pines, olive trees & a small pond (goldfish & frogs). The villa is built in one level with a 60m long terrace running along the house, continuing to the pool area. Direct access to terrace from nice open kitchen & a large living room of 50 sqm. The master bedroom with its own bathroom & own terrace in southeast with morning sun. The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & also a beautiful & sunny study which could be used as an extra bedroom. Overlooking the pool there is a quiet guesthouse/annex with 3 beds & a bathroom with own covered terrace. Two drives to the property with large parking space.

Montauroux is one of five medieval villages located just west of Grasse and nw of Cannes. The other villages are called Callian, Tourettes, Fayence and Seillans. We are 30 minutes from Cannes and 45 minutes from Nice airport. Opposite the house, on the other side of the valley, you will find the new exclusive 36-holes golf course Terre Blance. With the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Resort. La Fontanelle is situated in a quiet surrounding but still very close to supermarkets a couple of minutes by car. Our nearest neighbour is a castle with a magnificent park. The sea is aprox 30 minutes away by car.

we spent 2 weeks at La Fontanelle ; it was really great :
- environment very calm
- all commodities 5 mns by car
- overall, very nice house, exactly as described, even nicer than the pictures !!
- you arrive there, and you fell at home

the children were so happy !

At 8 kms, there is the St Cassien lake, beautiful...

Our stay at your villa in the south of France is coming close to ending and we wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed the house and the property. We feel fortunate that there was space in the villa for both families and the cousin children have had a wonderful time together, swimming and playing for the last three weeks.
During our stay we have done our best to treat the house and property with care and consideration as if it were our own.
We will happily recommend your villa as a rental to any friends or family that might look for simular accomodation.
