A warm and comfortable cottage backing up to a little brook on a quiet wooded lot just 2 miles from downtown Camden, and .7 miles from scenic Megunticook Lake on Maine Route #52. This really is a simple country cottage, but it has everything needed for a genuinely, comfortable, rural vacation. The kitchen is fully furnished with gas range, refrigerator, and even an air-tight wood-burning stove. The the front door opens into the dining/living room which is very comfortable with a genuine oriental rug, a gas furnace, a gate-leg table with dining chairs, a lazy boy recliner, and a sumptuous antique rocker that you'll want to take home with you, both of which can be focused either on a large picture window facing the brook and woods, or on a television with Time Warner Cable. (Owner recommends the woods!) The cottage also has internet and e-mail access via Fairpoint. The bedroom has a very comfortable double (full) bed with a 2,5' memory-foam topper, and with excellent reading lights on the book-case headboard. The full bath room is off the bedroom. It has an over-sized stall shower. The back door opens into a mud room-entry- clothes-closet. The bedroom and dining/living rooms both have wide-pine naturally finished floors. Should it be chilly in Maine during your stay, the cottage is heated by a fully automatic, Empire LPG furnace.

Feel free to join us for tea and talk sometime. Brian is a 4th generation Camden lad with a great knowledge of the area to share with guests: where to go, what to see, what to do, where to eat, where to drink and dance, etc.. After teaching high school in Scotland, 1975-77, Brian moved to Iran where he met and married Negar in 1978, and just 17 days after their marriage, Brian and Negar found themselves in the middle of the famous Iranian Revolution which began in 1977. So you see there really are some interesting things to talk over with that most excellent cuppa tea! Come along: spend a vacation with us and not a fortune!
