I reserved the room for my daughters graduation. The place was perfect, the location was beautiful, the size was just what we needed and it had everything we needed as well. My family loved it and we would stay again. Much better than a hotel room.
The location of this condo is well suited for both Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. The layout and furnishings are OK.
While this may sound petty, the first thing that brought our experience down was no batteries in the remote control. Without this we could not access the cable system to the TV, so had to make a separate trip out to the store to purchase batteries as calling staff for assistance did not gain any immediate response. Best they could do was to deliver batteries to condo on day 2. Not a good start to the experience.
On day 2 we decided to go use the hot tub after skiing. Nice porch setting, but upon entering the tub we found the water to be cloudy (treatment of water not working appropriately), and worse, the head cushions around the rim of the hot tub had been removed, so when you sat in the corner and placed your head back you ended up poking a plastic rod into the back of your head.
The worst situation occurred on our last night when we needed to get to bed early for a 4 AM wake up for airport run. Upon getting into bed the bed box spring fell through the guide runners and wedged itself in the frame. Ufortunately, the box spring was so wedged in the bed frame that we could not remove for about 30 minutes when we finally had to take the mattress and box spring completely off frame. After doing so we find that the bed frame slat mechanism is completely disconnected from the bed frame and has just been propped up to float and hold the box spring up. Normally the slat gear would be screwed or connected to the bed frame, but no screws were to be found and therefore I had to fiddle with the mechanism to get it into a position where it would once again float the box spring on the bed frame. This problem will occur again for the next guest unless repaired properly.
I e-mailed staff to explain the situation (including phtos of the broken frame) and express our frustration, but as of this writing we have not received any response from the e-mail.
In summary, this could be a nice rental location, but the penny pinching in skipping some of the basic maintenance and repair issues has left us frustrated and disapointed with the entire experience. If you hope to leverage the value of what could be a positive experience I would encourage the owners to put just a few dollars more into the upkeep so guests do not have to deal with major failues as we did.
We came to Salt Lake to give our son's a taste of Utah skiing. Overall we were very happy with our Vacasa rental. Spacious place, private hot tub, we really couldn't ask for more to kick back in and relax during our 'boys' trip.
Our family has been coming to Utah for years to ski and we definitely plan to return to this rental again and again - the location is PERFECT for access to both cottonwood canyons as well as park city - the beds are super comfortable, soft linens, wonderful covered private patio for the hot tub, plenty of space and privacy, and well-thought out creature comforts. There's a 2-car garage with ski racks, a large mudriom with a bench and plenty of hooks for coats and helmets, laundry detergent and toiletries. The fireplace was cozy and there's plenty of seating for meals and lounging. I had no idea, but tons of shops and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away.
I stayed here over President's Day weekend with a group of 6 for a ski trip at Snowbird and had a great experience. The house is about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport and a 15-20 minute drive to the mountain. It was in a perfect location not only for the airport and ski resort, but also because it was close to restaurants and shopping centers. The house was clean, comfortable, and fulfilled all of our needs. The pictures and description on this website were very similar to what we found in person. We were so thankful to be able to return back to such a great place after a long day of skiing!
