Key Colony Beach Townhome Rental Photos and Description
Great place to vist with family & friends or to get away & fish or just relax
Beautiful townhome in a quiet location with a boat slip at your doorstep and sunsets that you will remember for a lifetime. This section will be completed at a later date because I am presently enjoying all those amenities available here at Indigo Reef. I hope you all get an opportunity to visit and for a long time as life doesn't get any better than this. I would live here forever but have 2 grandchildren that live 1 mile from me in Virginia and, at least for the time being, I feel the need to be with them, Cheers... jeff
OK…. Here’s my start at the PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Villa 46 at Indigo Reef is oriented east / west. The entrance and guest rooms face the east and get the morning sun filtered through the trees. The deck off the living area and master bedroom face the west providing sunsets as beautiful as anywhere on the planet.
The covered parking for Villa 46 is situated directly across from the Villa making loading and unloading as convenient as possible. Additionally, the boat slip for the unit is conveniently located off the back deck. The slip has 110V electricity and fresh water and the fish cleaning station is about 20 feet away. Indigo Reef also provides free ice for your boat to ice down your catch and there are even some nice mangrove snappers hiding in the mangroves on the far side of the channel.
The Villa is close to the pool yet not so close as to be bothered by folks travelling to and from the pool. Although Indigo Reef is a quiet and serene setting, Villa 46 has recently added bullet proof glass for all exterior doors and windows making the unit one of the quietest at Indigo Reef. Charcoal barbeque grills are available near the docks but not so close that smoke and unwanted smells will enter the Villa.
The Villa was professionally decorated so I take no credit for the comfortable furniture or decorative paintings. To make the Villa more user friendly I added a desk because I know some people like to do a little work even when they are on vacation and there also some speakers to plug into if you like to listen to music or watch movies on your laptop. Secure Wi-Fi is available throughout the Villa and unsecure Wi-Fi is available in the area of the pool.
Regarding entertainment at Villa 46, there is a large TV with DVD player in the main living area that offers Cox cable HD channels. There is also a flat screen cable TV in the master bedroom and the queen bedroom. An under counter radio / CD player with remote is located by the breakfast bar. I love the oldies at 94.3 FM. All bedrooms have alarm clocks but the master bedroom has a clock radio that can be set for 4 alarms per day and for different days of the week.
I’ve also added a buffet and hutch to Villa 46 to expand the space for dishes, silverware and groceries for those who enjoy eating at home once in a while. There is a unique table in the living area with 4 slide out stools which makes for an excellent game table for family board games should you encounter a few hours of inclement weather. A small but growing selection of books is also provided. In the living area there is a small weather station providing indoor/outdoor temperature humidity and air pressure with a repeater in the master bedroom.

About Jeff Bliemel
Retired US Air Force Flight Test Project Officer and also retired as the City Engineer from Poquoson, Virginia. Now liviing at my small marina on the Chesapeake Bay in Deltaville, Virginia.
Jeff Bliemel purchased this townhome in 2011
Why Jeff Bliemel chose Key Colony Beach
I initially purchased my home for my personal use and that of my family however after purchasing I was asked if I would honor the existing rentals on the unit. Not wanting to ruin anyone's holiday I agreed and have been enjoying the opportunity to meet new travlers and make new friends ever since.
What makes this townhome unique
I continue to improve my home because when my 6 and 10 year old grandchildren, who live a mile from me in Virginia, are no longer excited about playing with grandpa, I intend to move here permenantly. That will probably be 10 or 12 years from now but I spend as much time as I can in Marathon when the kids are in school.
