A traditional stone built “Maison de Maitre” set in the heart of the Normandy countryside, within easy reach of Caen ferry or Dinard airport. There is a large lakeside beach with lifeguard facilities within a 15-20 minute drive. Set in three acres of land, L’Etre Corneillet is wonderfully secluded with two enclosed garden area, open grounds and an indoor heated swimming pool (4m x 12m) making it suitable as both a summer holiday home, or a fantastic winter retreat. Offering 7 bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin, 2 triple and 1 single) and three bathrooms set over three floors and sleeping up to 15 people, L’Etre Corneillet is ideal for large, two or three families holidaying together. There are books, toys and games to suit all ages. There is also a separate games room, containing snooker table, table football and table tennis table. Within the grounds there is a 14ft trampoline, swings, slide, sandpit and playhouse. Outside seating plus two separate barbecue areas and equipment.

As a large part of the region is deemed a national park, it is excellent cycling and walking country, with some fabulous forests and picnic spots. Horse riding is another favourite pursuit. The property is near Carrouges, Argentan, Alencon, Haras du Pin, Bagnole de L’Orne, landing beaches and Deauville. A car is necessary.

Notes: The main hall has a traditional wooden staircase with an iron handrail circling up to the 2nd floor. In parts, the stairs are narrow and steep and may be unsuitable for small children unaccompanied. Stair gates are provided. The dining table sits 10 people. There is an extension table to enable additional seating of up to 15. There are two living rooms each with two large sofas and chairs.

Outside seating and two separate barbecue areas plus equipment; Parking for 3+ cars.

Indoor swimming pool: The pool has its own entrance, shower and toilet plus inflatables for the pool. The pool water and air are both heated geothermically. In the summer, the large glass doors can be opened up leading on to a patio area with sunbeds and umbrellas.

Other Activities: kayaking, pedalos, archery, canoes.

as always perfect location, property is all that anyone could need. local area full of interesting places to go bagnole de la orne my particular favourite. i would recommend this property as a must if this part of france interests you.

Family holiday in L’Etre Corneillet

This property exceeded our expectations. The indoor heated swimming pool was the main focus of our family entertainment and we had a wonderful time - all ages from grandparents to a 10 month old baby.

The little touches made the difference, a welcome pack, the essential bathroom items, the children's toys etc. There was something for everyone. It was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for a home from home holiday. My brother's comments when he saw the place was 'you've done us proud'.

Holidaymakers need to be aware that Carrouges is a relatively small town and the restaurants are not open all day. We tried to find a meal at 2.30 pm only to discover the restaurants putting their closed signs up! (Can recommend the Creperie though and this seems to remain open throughout!). The Chateau is worth a visit.
