A Taste of Puglian Paradise

We have booked to return to here for our third successive holiday which indicates how much we love staying here.
The property is tastefully furnished throughout with comfortable mattresses, good facilities and thoughtful touches that make it the perfect home-from-home in the sunshine. A first aid kit, sewing kit, CDs of various musical tastes, books and games are but a few of these.
It is spotlessly clean and very well-maintained; even outside, the pool-side garden and terrace have been very thoughtfully considered and tended.
The owner has always provided an excellent customer service - comprehensive directions, places of interest to visit, market days, etc.and is all too happy to assist with advice and answers to any questions we may have had.
We have highly recommended this property to our friends and this Summer, a family of four of them have booked to stay in the adjoining property while we're there.
The property is set in an exceptionally peaceful area, enjoying surrounding views of open countryside and the drive into the nearest town of Alberobello is a short distance of 10 minutes.
Here there are a good number of restaurants, shops and places to visit for its size - notably an intersecting group of narrow lanes up a hill with the famous conical-shaped trulli buildings on either side. Most of these trulli - except for some still being homes to the locals - are restaurants and shops selling all kinds of mouth-watering foodstuffs, linens, jewellery and much more.
The cuisine of this region is simple but delicious, cheap and so freshly produced. A wonderful meal can be enjoyed at the majority of restaurants in town. There are many nearby towns that deserve a visit too; each having its own character and points of interest. The coast from the property, situated in the middle of Puglia, is also within easy reach to either the Adriatic or Ionian.
I would highly recommend staying at La Casa. It is a fantastic base from which to discover a region of Italy that still remains a relative unknown to the British tourist. It's an area that is completely unspoilt, tranquil and very beautiful, and hence why it is our own taste of paradise.
