A spacious luxury trullo property that is unique to this region of Italy. This is a character property with trulli cones, vaulted ceilings, stone walls and stone and marble floors. The property is well designed, retaining all the character of the traditional trullo whilst offering very spacious and flexible accommodation spread across 2 wings. (Discounted rates available for smaller parties of up to 7. Please ask.) The layout offers a rare opportunity to benefit from some independent living with additional cooking/bathroom facilties and relaxation areas or indeed enables smaller parties to spread out and enjoy the luxury of more space. The trullo has a large private solar heated pool, a poolside gazebo and comfortable high quality sunbeds, all set in an enclosed garden in an elevated position. The property has both covered and open patio areas on both the south and east aspects for alfresco dining with high quality stone/aluminium garden furniture. The games room and wireless internet are additional attractive features. Set in a stunning location with panoramic views across the countryside to the Val D'Itria

Getting to Trulli Sulla Collina: Bari and Brindisi airports are conveniently located, both within an hour from the villa and Naples an easy 3 hour drive with greater frequency and cheaper flights. Direct flights to the region daily from Stansted (Ryan Air) and 3 times weekly from Gatwick (BA and Easy Jet)) or fly via Milan or Rome. Car hire is essential. (Google Earth Grid Ref. Family Entertainment: Knowing how important it is to have varied entertainment Sulla Colina offers guests access to a separate games room a great refuge for teenagers, with darts, table tennis, table football, giant connect 4. In addition we provide 2 flat screen TV's and DVD's, one being set up with WII console and a varied selection of films to suit all ages, library books are also available. We have a couple of small trikes for toddlers as well as pool inflatables and beach toys. We also have 3 bikes available for guest use - 1 adult bikes and 2 for children (suit approx age 12 - 14 years)

A wonderfully spacious trullo that has great character. The west wing that sleeps 7 (x4 bedrooms - 2 doubles, 1 twin and a single) is spacious and modern with open plan living space. It has 4 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (with showers). The east wing is a trullo in traditional style, with vaulted trullo cones and stone features in the main living spaces. It has 2 further bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers, its own kitchen, dining room and 'snug'. The 2 wings together provide space and flexibility. We can offer a discounted rate for smaller parties who just want to use 1 wing of the property. Please ask. In all cases you will always have exclusive use of the property.

The property is situated within 3 acres of olive and almond grove in a hill top position in rural countryside but within 5 minutes of Alberobello. The approach to the property is down very pretty, quiet stone walled lanes, ideal for walking and cycling. It's position offers some of the most fantastic views across the Val D'Itria and being in this position the property benefits from a cooling breeze during the hot summer months. The nearest town Alberobello which is a UNESCO heritage site and a unique and fascinating place to explore with its' thousands of trulli. Restaurants and coffee bars are plentiful, good quality and very friendly, being full of character, many being trulli buildings. There are many small shops to explore - ranging from good quality clothes shops through to traditional bakers, butchers etc There is also one large and well stocked supermarket on the outskirts.

    We can accept UK£ transfers (BACS) via my UK bank account.

    A deposit of 30% is required to confirm a booking with the balance becoming due 8 weeks prior to the holiday.
    We require a security deposit of £500 by cheque/BACs that we hold as insurance against damage, unexpected additional charges. (Refundable within 2 weeks of your departure, subject to satisfactory inspection) In the cooler months we require an additional £200 to cover heating
  • Final cleaning included in rates (please note we have the right to apply a surcharge if the villa is left in an unreasonable state i.e. very dirty/untidy that requires additional cleaning hours)
    Linen and towels (including pool towels) are included in the rental cost.

    For 2 week stays change of laundry/linen included in rates.
    Additional cleaning can be arranged and paid for locally.
  • Prices for West Wing Only (sleeping a maximum of 7 people, across 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms) includes exclusive use of grounds and pool. East Wing would remain locked and would not be rented during your stay.

  • Large airy bedrooms with marble or natural stone flooring. Furnished to a very high standard with antique and modern furniture and pictures from local artists. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in all rooms. All mattresses are new and high quality, beds are dressed with good quality egyptian cotton linen. All bedrooms have either desk/floor standing fans. The rooms are not air conditioned as the house has been built in stone, with high ceilings which keeps it cool in the summer. Mosquito nets are fitted to bedroom windows and mosquito plugins are available. We are able to provide 2 cots should this be needed. Notes: The fabulous 10 x 5m heated pool is a feature of the property that is set in an enclosed walled landscaped garden in an elevated position with stunning views across the Val D'Itria (Open from April to end Oct subject to weather). The pool has been enclosed sympathetically to retain the character and views, but does provide a greater degree of security and safety for families with young children, with its stone walls and pretty iron fencing with lockable gate. The pool is equipped with 10 aluminium sunbeds and benefits from a pergola providing permanent shade with an aluminium table and 4 chairs. The pool is cleaned regularly throughout your stay to ensure your maximum enjoyment. The villa has 2 patios, both with covered and open areas. The south facing patio is large with a stone table and seating for 10. The east facing patio has a large aluminum circular table with seating for 6. Large parking area with shade at the rear of the property. A large BBQ is available.

Location,location,location Trulli sulla colina

The above cliche`title is so true, this is the purfect location for a very peaceful holiday.
The area is an unspoilt rustic region where olive, walnut and almond trees are plentiful, grape vines nearby also avail you of magificnt wines, be sure to try them they are unique to the region. Wine tours are very interesting.
The locals are very friendly and walks in the area are both safe and scenic.
The family at the local flour mill sells freshly ground flour, eggs, honey and nibbles. They give a little tour of the machinery and an olive wood fired pizza oven which is interesting and they are keen to share knowledge although you need to speak a little bit of italian as only the daughter speaks alittle english.
Back to the villas, views from the roof terrace are 360 degrees of beautiful scenery by day and terrific star gazing by night.
The Villas are all you need and more, luxurious but my favourite was the older trulli as it has a cosy charm about it. The larger of the two has a more modern feel but still very comfortable indeed.Both are full of everything you need.
The personal touches with bespoke cd's, dvd's books and games plus games room helps keep all amused.
The pool is large clean and very well maintained, with plenty of sun loungers for those sun bathers. The covered outside eating area is atmospheric for dining out at any time of day.
A resident Little owl seems to perch on top of the next fields trulli which is fun to watch. I highly recommend these lovely villas although i dont want too many people to find out about this place, as we are eager to book agian we loved the whole package and we want to return again and explore a wider area.

Beautiful Trulli

We all, me and my friends, we had a wonderful time in your Trulli Sulla Collina.Was it cooking together, having dinner outside under a starry sky ,sitting next to the pool with regional food and wine, enjoying the view over the beautiful landscape, there was nothing to complain.Even Chris, the gardener, we never met, but the following everything was done.we had that feeling staying in our own trulli. At last many thanks to Antonietta.

Perfect Autumn Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa, the villa was very clean with very comfy beds and everything you want to make a really good holiday. Delightful place for a relaxing break

This was a lovely place for a relaxing few days with peaceful surroundings and warm sunshine, even in September, We were very pleased with the villa. A great deal of thought had gone into making our stay very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and everywhere was very clean. The welcome guide in the villa was very useful in helping us find our way around the area and finding nice places to eat. The pool was beautiful and the area is so restful, it was a lovely stay and I can't recommend it enough.

Excellent Villa

We had the most wonderful stay, clearly a lot of consideration and investment has gone into making this charming villa a perfect place to spend a holiday in Puglia.
A high quality restoration of a transitional trullo, retaining many original features, with the sympathetic addition of modern facilities like the superb pool and outdoor eating areas. The games room was well equipped and the opportunity of a bike ride along quiet country roads before breakfast was bliss.
The location was ideal, secluded and private but within 10 minutes of Aberobello. It is also very convenient for a number of lovely towns within easy driving distance.

Jenny was delightful to deal with and the whole holiday was fantastic. We would revisit this villa and have already recommended it to family and friends.
