Centrally located in Poulsbo, you are within minutes of a ferry to Seattle, a drive to the Olympic forest, Bainbridge Island, Gig Harbor and more. Be sure to see the nearby historic towns - Port Gamble, Victorian Port Townsend, as well as Sequim and its lavender fields. Don't forget to go into downtown Poulsbo to be transformed to life in a Norwegian port, with little shops, restaurants and spas. Local cities include banking services and excellent medical services.

I am transplant from California in 2004, and this property has become my sanctuary. I want to be able to share it's beauty with others. Friends and family have been vacationing here for years and given my work travel, I have decided to make it available to others for vacation, as well.

My family (wife and 2 teenagers) and I spent 4 beautiful days in the area at this home. The house was wonderful. Roomy, clean, very spacious, and incredible views. The new outdoor deck was a favorite area with the rocking chairs overlooking the water. Poulsbo is a very quaint town that we loved exploring and the house was a great stepping off point for day trips into Seattle. We would recommend staying here. It was great!
We rented this house to provide a place for our extended family from out of town to gather and visit while allowing them someplace to stay as well. We are very pleased with this choice. The house is HUGE and has a wonderful view from nearly every window. The house had plenty of room for our large group to cook, visit and relax. The kitchen is top-notch (I love the stove especially), we cooked every meal, one of them to serve 16 people and had no trouble, everything but the food was already there. We were hoping to have somewhere so that we would just be able to relax and this house at this location exceeded our desires. We would gladly do it again. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to Poulsbo and other destinations in Kitsap County. My family members from out of town were able to easily get to Seattle via the ferries but still return in the evening to a remarkably relaxing house with everything they could need. The house is fully modern with all the network abilities the younger folks wanted and it was nice to be able to let the smaller kids watch a movie or play in a different part of the house than where we were visiting. We stayed during the usually dreary part of January but the house and yard were beautiful even then. I cannot recommend this house highly enough.
We stayed at this home on the outskirts of Poulsbo for Thanksgiving. An absolutely lovely home. There was a small problem that was beyond the owner's control, but thee owner dealt with it in a fair and efficient manner. The kitchen is fully stocked. The views are incredible.
I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely residence for about a week last summer. I found the experience to be one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever taken. The house exceed my expectations; beautifully decorated and immaculate. The breathtaking views of the verdant forest and glass like water were visible from almost every room in this home. I loved the stillness and tranquility of the area. Just a few minutes away is an utterly charming little town complete with fine and casual dining, gift and specialty shops. The owner was most gracious and helpful regarding local activities and logistical questions. While the description of this property was certainly accurate, words just don't do it justice. It's difficult to describe how it feels here on a warm evening, looking
out at the water as the sun goes down and a gentle breeze comes up. It's like being nestled in a glorious harmony of sea and sky.
What a perfect vacation getaway! My husband and I stayed with our 9 month old baby, as we are looking to move up to the area and wanted to be in a place within proximity to the Seattle ferry, but in more of a country, relaxed setting. This far exceeded our expectations.
From the moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for a treat. The private drive takes you up to this beautifully maintained home, with gorgeous gardens. Due to the way you drive in, you have no idea just how beautiful the view is until you walk into the home.
From the moment you walk in, you can see the care and love put into the house. The floors were shining, there were so many windows and natural light, and the furnishings and decor were comfortable yet luxurious.
What can I say about the view!? It just sucks you in. We instantly went out to the back lawn and took it all in. The sailboats drifted by on the glittery blue waters, the sun was shining, the mountain ranges were snow capped, and everything was so green and beautiful. Definitely nothing like where we are from!! I really enjoyed the way the house sits above the water rather than on the water. It gives you the best vantage point to see the scenery. Based on the time of day and where the sun was, the water seemed to change color - it was breathtaking! One morning the fog had rolled in and it was just another beautiful example of the ever-changing views.
The bedrooms are amazing. We only occupied the master room and used the other guest room a bit for our daughter. The master bath is amazing. I only hope to have something like that in our home one day. It was a perfect sanctuary at the end of a long day to take a soak in the tub. Waking up to that view is something I could get very used to!
It was perfect to have a high chair and pack n play available. There were also some toys and dishes for use! They looked brand new and in perfect condition.
Because we have a little one, we are up early in the mornings. The sunrise comes up right over the water and it was spectacular. The skies and water turned vivid pinks, oranges, reds, and purples. We enjoyed our coffee out on the back patio and it was a perfect way to start the morning.
We ventured to the cute town of Poulsbo and grabbed lunch on the water, delicious baked goods from Sluy's Bakery (very Norwegian and tasty!) and drove to the other towns in the area. It was a simple drive to the ferry into Seattle and we did that as well.
Thank you for a great stay! We'll be back!
