About The Owner

We moved to the area from S. Florida 20 years ago to raise our children here. Danny and his father built this cabin in the lot next door to our house with their own hands as if we would live in it ourselves.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2014

Why The Owner chose Whittier

You can see and hear the river constantly and feel secluded although you have access to the highway nearby.

What makes this cabin unique

Awesome views await you.

Really nice river front cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is very well maintained with large covered deck that overlooks the river. The owners have thought of about everything you need to get started for a great stay. You'll be treated like family from the owners. The Cherokee reservation is a short commute for supplies or entertainment

We had a great stay in this beautiful cabin! It was in the perfect location for what we had planned, halfway between Gatlinburg and Asheville. The view from the front porch was amazing, the river was very peaceful, and we watched two bald eagles perched in a nearby tree for hours one morning! I left something in the cabin and didn't realize it until we were hours away. The owners were great about getting back to me and mailing out my forgotten item. I would highly recommend this cabin and will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Wonderful weekend

  • 5 of 5

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wish I was there typing this review. The cabin was beautiful and the location next to the river was second to none. The cabin was centrally located to all of the areas attractions/towns. We will be going back in the near future.

Great place and amazing scenery!

  • 5 of 5

We plan on returning to the same house in the next year or two. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

What an amazing view from this nice and cozy house. My wife and I spent a weekend there and really enjoyed it. A totally relaxing atmosphere. The house has a nice yard and is located next to a stream.

It definitely is not primitive. Good appliances and really hot water. Also had Direct TV so I could watch a football game and the cell phone coverage was surprisingly better than I get at home.

The owners made us feel at home as they made sure that we had everything we needed. I left/forgot two shirts and a jacket at the house, and the owners contacted me right away to let me know that they would mail them to me.

Beautiful, Relaxing Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend with our 14 month old son and it was perfect in every aspect. We loved the porch, the river, the location, and watching the Smoky Mtn Railroad across the river! Thank you!
