Cotton-Bay Townhouse

This delightful townhouse is modern, clean and very comfortable. Thankfully the pleasant and constant Trade Winds, coupled with the ceiling fans in every room, make up for the lack of air conditioning. The kitchen is very well equipped, but a hairdryer in the bathroom would have been appreciated. We felt very safe and secure, and the neighbours are most welcoming. The colourful flowering potted plants made for a very pleasant outlook in the rear courtyard. We hired a car and explored every inch of the small island of Barbados over a 10-day period. The roads were very narrow and very bumpy. Sadly, most of the coastline of Barbados is hidden by private Resorts and the large gated homes of the wealthy. In reflection, our tiime would have been better spent just lazing and swimming on Enterprise/Miami Beach which is only a short walk away. This is a beautiful beach with shade trees and picnic tables. We spent many an hour just enjoying watching the local families at play. It's no wonder so many tourists visit Barbados as the colour of the Caribbean Sea and the hot sunny days, are truly magnificent. Cotton-Bay is a great place to stay to simply relax and enjoy the sun and the sea..
