Enjoy this newly constructed dovetail log home during your stay in beautiful Homer. This customized home was built from spruce trees collected and milled in the Homer area. The rocks were mined in Hope, Alaska and artfully placed. This is truly an Alaskan home.

Most rooms have large picture windows where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Mountains, Grewingk Glacier, and the famous Homer Spit. This 2000 square foot home has three floors including a very large loft and offers three bedrooms and three baths. Meals can be prepared in the full kitchen that is equipped with all the necessary amenities or you can eat at any of Homer's excellent restaurants.

The owners, Jerry and Lou, are world travelers and are nearby if assistance is needed during your stay. We are familiar with the Homer area and willing to help make your stay more comfortable. We are very proud of the log home since we did most of the construction. Someday we will retire in this home.

Peaceful Retreat

This Alaskan Log Home was exactly what we wanted, stunning views, peace and quiet and a stocked house. The house had even little things stocked like tissues, toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, trash bags, etc. so I didn't have to buy/bring those items with me. The freezer had plenty of space for the fish that we caught and the owner provided us with a charcoal grill and all the supplies necessary to cook up our fresh catch. The winery down the road had wonderful local berry-wines which topped off the perfect peaceful retreat. We fell in love with both Homer and this house.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Nice "out of town" quiet location with great views, great cabin, wonderful owners! No TV reception (or TV didn't work) but who needs a TV in a place like that!

This was a fabulous place to stay. We had come from 3 nights in bunks on a small boat fishing, and the 3 stories with separate baths and bedrooms gave us just the privacy and space we needed. Plus, it was just gorgeous inside and out with a fabulous view of the bay, mountains, glaciers and Homer spit. This has become our dream house in Alaska.

Lou and Jerry were very accommodating about the stay, too. Great folks!

We especially enjoyed dinner at Captain Pattie's on the Spit and The Homestead out the East End.

We had an excellent experience. The home was very clean and well kept. We had three couples in our party and the accomodations worked out perfectly for that. The views were spectacular. We would definitely recommend this to our friends.

Great Stay

My wife and I stayed for a week at this cabin in 2010. It had some awesome scenic views, with a moose or two in the front yard in the mornings. The owners were very nice and helpful, they even let me borrow a few fishing poles. We had a blast. I am planning on sending my parents here to stay for a retirement gift.
