Welcome to our family cabin. This is a secluded 2 bedroom cabin surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Walk into the great room with a large stone fireplace, dining area is a great oak table that seats 8. Downstairs off the great room is the master bedroom which includes a Queen size bed. Upstairs is a bedroom with two twin beds. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family of 4.
Wildlife includes fox, deer, and a regular pass through of a flock of turkeys. Enjoy the 6 person hot tub and watch the sunset behind Candy Mountain.
Read a book on our wrap around porch and enjoy the birds. Rest on the porch swing or enjoy a rocker.
Great restaurants in Murphy and Blue Ridge!
Enjoy rafting the Nantahala River or if you are brave try the Ocoee River, home of the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Enjoy hiking, including the Appalachian Trail.
A beautiful drive to the Hiwassee Reservoir which provides boating, jet skis, canoeing, fishing or just enjoy a swim.
Everyone enjoys stopping at Mercer Apple Orchard for you pick experience, a tour of the cider house, or for great souvenirs and food.
We bought this cabin in 2007 so that our family could vacation with my family who has a cabin nearby. I grew up in Florida and we would regularly vacation in the Smokey Mountains. We feel our cabin is heavenly. And we welcome the opportunity to share it with you and your family.

Peace, beauty, regenerate, pure joy!
The views are stunning. The silence except for the birds is priceless! Everyone says they are rejuvenated after their stay. The hot tub is nice and secluded. The mountains behind the cabin are great for dirt biking, ATV's or mountain bikes. You can bike to Tennessee if your able. Right down the road is Ocoee whitewater rafting. The home of the 1996 Olympic whitewater slolum course, where you can try your skills and try to stay in the raft, to the chagrin of bystanders. There are great hiking trails everywhere. Murphy is the beginning of the Trail of Tears. There are amazing Indian sculptures, trails with waterfalls, trails along the river, some are for beginners and others are for the Appalachian hikers.
This clean, nicely appointed log cabin is seemingly located miles away from civilization (in a good way). Very limited cell phone service (also a good thing) and a beautifully wooded, remote, mountain-top locale with a great view spells one thing to me: much needed R&R. The hot tub was incredibly relaxing under the crisp, cool blue mountain sky. And afterwards, retiring to one of the largest fireplaces I've ever encountered in the den was the most appropriate end to an enjoyable day.
The location of the cabin also lends itself well to many local area attractions including the Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway, the Bavarian-inspired town of Helen, GA, Cherokee National Park, the cities of Cherokee and Bryson City NC, and the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad and National Park (all within a 2.5 hour drive) are just a few we were able to explore (not to mention the many destinations described by the owner in the property description).
This cabin does truly feature everything you could possibly wish for in a Smokey Mountain vacation.
My husband, two small dogs, and I stayed at this lovely little cabin in the woods to ring in the new year. We live in Florida, so a nice, quiet retreat to the chilly mountains was perfect. Beth's cabin provided all that and more. We cooked, got in the hot tub, hiked around the nearby trail with our dogs, and just enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very clean, super comfy bed, plenty of room for the 2 (+2) of us. A few things to note: There is very limited cell and no wi-fi. Great for a true respite away from civilization. But come prepared with entertainment, as there are almost no books, games or movies in the cabin (luckily we brought our own). Also this place is really in the middle of nowhere...the road to get there is not awesome, so, if you plan on outings, just be prepared to drive a ways, and don't drive your sports car.
Owner was very responsive and the cabin is an excellent location for regional exploring. LOTS of activities within 1 - 2 hours and you can be in 3 different states (NC/GA/TN) in a matter of minutes. The cabin is very good size, well appointed and comfortable. Only issue we had was it's a bit dark on the inside and in need of more external light. But soaking in the sun on the wrap around porch outside easily makes up for it. You'll only need the food you want, everything else is there. The hot tub was the deal maker for us on this trip.
Great cabin with beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We found it spotlessly clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The living area and kitchen are open, the den furniture very comfy. The fireplace in the den is beautiful and firewood is provided. The porch is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the birds. We enjoyed the hot tub at night under the stars. The only drawback but not really a big deal for us was no cell service for AT&T and no wi-fi. There is a landline with unlimited long distance and satellite DirectTV. All in all, we enjoyed the cabin and the area very much!
My family of 4 has stayed here a few different times during winter and summer months. A perfect get away! So peaceful and relaxing yet with many opportunities nearby to explore, hike, shop. I even found a local gym nearby during a Thanksgiving visit to work off some extra calories on a rainy day! The perfect setting to have peace, quiet and enjoy nature yet with activities all around you in just a short drive from the cabin. The views are lovely both from the hot tub and from any spot on the wrap around porches. But, the hot tub is the icing on the cake for me, the most comfortable and therapeutic hot tub I’ve ever been in! Our whole family enjoys visiting here, great for kids and adults, all ages.
A great home away from home. All mod cons yet nature at your door step. Great hiking opportunities up the moutains right from the back door. Two wonderful small towns within an easy drive for provisions, restaurants and other attractions. Its a real peaceful getaway. A glass of wine in the hot tub at sunset looking at the mountains can't be beat. The cabin has a really nice large open plan layout with the dining table taking center stage. The driveway is a bit steep, so check with the owners on the access road condition.
