This amazing condo has been completely remodeled by a professional designer using custom imports from Bali. This beachfront complex is just a short walk to the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This gorgeous 2 story, 2 bedroom + Den with sleeper sofa, 2.5 bath condo boasts 1,600+ sq ft of beach living space plus 2 spacious patios for your enjoyment. The complex also features a pool, spa and tennis courts. Whether you are relaxing on the beach or spending time by the pool you won't be disappointed with this amazing condo. Located just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and much more there is something to do for everyone.

I was extremely impressed with how comfortable our stay was. The condo is located above a beautiful beach that was perfect for our kids, and had great waves for surfing right out front. The walk to the beach was very comfortable. All the condo's in Solana beach have the same walk as they all sit on the cliff above the beach. Great restaurants were also a short walk.
The place is gorgeous and layout of the unit is great! The kitchen has everything you need. The appliances and electronics throughout the house are premium quality. We enjoyed watching several movies over our week, but you'll come to this condo to enjoy the beach, pool and weather,and it did not disappoint.

We spent a wonderful week in this spacious condo. Modern decor with all the conveniences of home including washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen. Convenient location for the beach, shopping, restaurants and even a delightful yoga studio. This condo is just steps from the swimming pool and just a little farther on to the tennis courts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent family Vacation

What a beautiful place to make memories with family! This condo is ideal for us! As 60 yr old grandparents, We love the close proximity to parking garage, pool, tennis, beach, restaurants, shopping, race track at Del Mar, and golf courses.
Our grandkids, aged 4,6,and 8, love everything about Solana Beach, especially the pool...10 steps from our front door, and the short trip to the beach for surfing!
This condo has a large open kitchen and family room where the whole family can make margaritas, sample horduerves, and assemble fish tacos while Dad grills fish out on the deck!
The accommodations are comfy, the island decor...laid back Balinese style!
The master bedroom and bath is a perfect place with privacy for Mom and Dad to relax, apart from their 3 kids, who share a bunk bed and couch bed in a separate room. The laundry room in this condo is conveniently located, and large enough to keep our family of 5 clean!
Thanks to the guests who posted their suggestions in the reviews! The owners have made those improvements this summer!
We plan to rent this condo every year for our summer family vacation! We also want to plan a couples biking/golfing trip to this location in January!

Ups and downs

this unit had its plusses and minuses. On the plus side, it is well designed (mostly) with a comfortable open layout. all of the appliances, fixtures, etc. are top notch. the ktichen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels, etc. the complex sits on a cliff above a terrific beach, with a lifeguard stand right there. yes, you have to walk down 125 stairs to the beach but it is a short walk and beats driving, parking and trekking to a beach by a mile. plus, its a great location where you can walk to downtown solana or even the del mar race track. However, there are some BIG negatives as well. first off, THERE IS NO AC and the windows only open on one side of the unit. thus, the upstairs was very hot at all times and there was 0 breeze in the main part of the unit. The lone ceiling fan upstairs was entirely inadequate. It was very uncomfortable upstairs for most all of the day. Second, this is not a 3 bedroom unit. It has 2 bedrooms downstairs and a den with a pullout sofa right next to the dining room which is separated only by sliding doors. third, there were some privacy issues as well. the den/3rd bdrm has a skylight that looked right up to the neigbors' window so they can see right down into what is supposedly a bedroom. also, the only upstairs bathroom had a large window with no covering right next to the toilet that looked right out at another neighbor's balcony. HUH? Fourth, the living room tv was too complicated to work and we had to call someone over just to show us how to turn it on. it was so complicated that none of the kids could ever do it and thus they had to come wake me up in the morning just to watch a show. you actually needed 3 different remotes just to turn the thing on! Fifth, although management sent us an email on the first day asking how everything was (which was nice), they never responded to our reply that the coffeemaker was broken. We requested a new one but never got it and had to go out for coffee every single morning. Finally, there is only one parking space with NO communal spots for an extra car, which the owner should expect his guests to have for a unit supposedly sleeping 7/8 people. I sum, great location, well-appointed modern design, terrific master bdrm, but needs A/C and attention to detail to rank it higher.

Owner's Response: San Diego coastal properties do not tend to have AC units, due to constant beautiful weather. The average temperature ranges from 57.3F in January to 72F in August. The coastal neighborhoods of San Diego are typically cool, breezy and pleasant with a Mediterranean climate suitable for everyone. For those rare occasions when San Diego does happen to get a little hotter than normal we have added a few extra fans to accommodate our guests for a more pleasant stay.
Our unit is equip with 2 sliding doors upstairs leading to the balcony, and numerous windows along the east side to let in that coastal breeze swift throughout the unit. There are 2 spacious bedrooms downstairs and 1 commodious den upstairs with ample space.
For the enjoyment of our guest, we have provided state of the art present day technology for the modern day user and contemporary needs. Instructions for the equipment are provided, but we are also conveniently close and happily ready to come assist at our guests request.
Our property comes with 1 standard designated parking spot for our guest & family, as well as Solana Beach has provided locals and tourist plenty of street parking extremely close to the unit and with the convenience of not having to cross any major streets.
This property was beautifully designed and decorated by the owner/artist Michael Massie, and his travels to Bali. Spending a bountiful amount on creating an exquisite hideaway so that you truly grasp the essence of being away on vacation.
We value every guest and want to exceed all expectations as well as strive to better our services and alleviate any issues that may arise. It is important to us that your stay is memorable and unforgettable.
