I grew up in Brookline, MA and lived in the Greater Boston area for more than 50 years before moving to Cape Cod in 1999. However, my connection to the Cape goes back to the 1940's when my parents bought their first home in Yarmouth. My wife and I moved to the Cape to be close to my mother after my father died in 1997. It was also the perfect opportunity to 'slow down' and enjoy the history, charm and beauty of living on Cape Cod. I presently own and operate a small advertising agency/publishing company and work out of my home. In recent years, a significant portion of the business has involved publishing tourism-related guidebooks for several of the local/regional chambers of commerce, so if you're looking for specific information about almost anything on Cape Cod, I most likely can provide the specifics, and if not, I can point you in the right direction, especially if it pertains to restaurants. (We publish a dining guide to Cape Cod restaurants.)
Martin (Marty) Summerfield purchased this house in 2002
It's a special opportunity to enjoy your own mini resort located within the largest historic district in the United States, while also experiencing the unique charm, beauty and culture of Cape Cod at your leisure. It is the perfect venue for larger or extended families, families traveling together, family reunions, pre or post wedding parties, or small groups of friends
The home is located geographically in the mid-Cape, close to all activities, sports, beaches, shopping, restaurants, and island ferries. The backyard is very private, surrounded by plantings and trees, thereby providing the vacationers an intimate setting in which to relax and play; yet it's just a short drive to explore other areas on beautiful Cape Cod.
