The finca has recently been renovated and expanded into a comfortable house without loosing respect to tradition and materials. The property is surrounded by a large plot (± 3000 m2) with a variety of fruit trees (olive, plum, peach, lemon, orange, lime, fig, avocado, etc). Cactus borders and a wide variety of colourful local and exotic plants, forming a delightful garden with a tropical feeling. Next to the heated pool (solar system) is a covered pergola and a 45 m2 terrace, sheltered by sliding windows in case of strong winds. The sitting area at the fish pond provides a great place for relaxing, reading and enjoying a sun downer, watching birds, fishes and frogs. The terrace right in front of the house is shaded and flanked on the east side by a magnificent palm tree and on the west side by a huge - 32 years old - stunning purple bougainvillea. On a hot or (rare) rainy day a covered terrace gives shelter, still offering a splendid view on the surrounding hills.

Najara is a small village in a quiet agricultural, hilly area, 10km from Vejer de la Frontera and 20km from a choice of beautiful white beaches, where you will find small fishing villages, unspoilt and no big crowds. Tourism is important but not the highest priority for this area. The official policy is no high structures to be built, no big hotels, few disco's, to respect and conserve the original building styles, to keep its heritage but accepting at the same time the necessary progress needed for its inhabitants, without paying the price by ruining its skylines. The main activities for visitors are all related to nature and water sports, while in the vicinity one can also enjoy the beautiful historic cities like Cadiz, Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla. A boat ride will bring you from Tarifa to Morocco where you can visit fascinating and exotic places like Marakesh, Tanger or Ceuta. It is nearly impossible to miss the whales and dolphins that will accompany the ships, enjoy it all!

  • For guests there are three bathrooms available. Next to the kitchen is a small pantry with the washing machine and - according to old Andalusian style - a small bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. Both double bedrooms are self containing. The two main bathrooms contain each modern accessories and consist of a shower, wash basin and toilet. All taps have hot and cold water. Hot water is provided by electrical heaters of 50 liter each. The bath rooms are beautifully designed and equipped with lovely tiles and high quality materials. Special attention is paid to details to ensure that time spent in the bathrooms is pure pleasure.

  • The lovely double bedroom next to the living room is self containing and is recently renovated. It has beautiful views over the fields and the hills in the far distance. It has a flat screen and DVD. The bathroom is equipped with design tiles and accessories, a modern washing basin and glass door to the shower with giant shower head. The free standing guest house contains a second double bedroom and is also self-containing. It is half detached from the main house to secure privacy and quietude, but still nearby and perfectly suited for children to sleep. It looks out over the palm shaded terrace and garden. Air Conditioners (warm & cold) are installed in both bedrooms to ensure a comfortable temperature. Cupboards provide more than enough space to make sure that one doesn't have to live out of a suitcase. When a 5th guest is expected a sofa bed in the living room is available. (When the cortijo is rented out and the owners are abroad, their private bed- and bathroom are locked)

The living area, 8 x 6m, has a dining set (seats 6), a TV corner (incl. DVD + video player, CD/tape stereo set), 3 comfortable leather chairs and a sofa bed (195 x 120 cm), plus a reading corner with a variety of books with information about the area and other topics; there is AC (warm & cold) and a wood burner. The fully equipped kitchen, with breakfast counter, gas stove/electrical oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine, mixer, juicer, pans, pots, crockery etc. is ideal for making a home cooked dinner without effort. The gas BBQ on the terrace makes the cooking even easier. On the terrace near the pool is a second fridge for drinks and ice cubes. From the roof terrace one has stunning views 360 degrees around and on a clear day Morocco is clearly visible. Bring your binoculars for birdwatching as well. In the store under the stairs to the roof one finds garden furniture, hanging/ standing hammocks, easy chairs, beach chairs, cool boxes and umbrella

Our experience with El Pajarito has been verry good! Our 3th time in Andalusie we rented out one finca in that beautiful land Espana. We stayed there for 3 weeks with our 2 teenager children. The finca is charming, with one big bedroom in the mainhouse and near the mainhouse is a small casita with badroom and a 2-persons bed even with airconditioning. In the mainhouse you find a nice large living room & a big kitchen fully equipped and a small bathroom with toilet and very well cleaned and maintained, airconditioning all over the house and fans in bedroom to ensure a good night sleep. The large beautiful garden surrounding the whole villa,enjoy watching butterflies, fish and a turtle in the small waterplace and listening to sounds of pure nature. It is not safe for small children to play in the garden or at the terras. We could relax in many spots in the house, the large terraces arround the house also at the roof, the pool, all the facilities available in El pajarito. The house is decorated in african style, lots of art, 3 relax chairs a sofa, a tv and a dinner table. El Pajarito is 30 min. driving to the beach El Palmar, 15 min drive to Vejer de la Frontera where you find supermarkets, nice restaurants and bars.
El Pajarito gives you a warm welcome, the beautiful scenery, the comfortable accommodation and the price! all make a perfect stay, therefore it is the perfect choice. Many thanks to the owners and of course Herma she helps us a lot. Wishing all the very best.

Ein aus unserer Sicht absolut empfehlenswertes Domizil. Die homepage wird den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten nicht gerecht. Auch die Photos geben nur einen mäßigen Eindruck wider.
Die Lage eignet sich hervorragend für sightseeing-Ausflüge ins westliche Andalusien, wie Cadiz, Sevilla, Arcos, etc. Der organisatorische Part wurde exzellent erfüllt, selbst bei unsere Ankunft abends um 22:30 Uhr wurden wir persönlich und sehr freundlich empfangen. Für den kurz vor unserer Anreise kaputt gegangenen Geschirrspüler hat man sich zigmal entschuldigt, die Reparatur erfolgte prompt und für die Unannehmlichkeiten wurden wir mit einer Flasche guten spanischen Weins entschädigt.

Sauberkeit und Ordnung waren vorbildlich, bei der Ausstattung mangelte es an nichts.

Die Finca ist wunderschön auf einem Hügel gelegen, mit phantastischem Ausblich auf Vejer. Das Grundstück ist recht groß, teilweise schon fast parkähnlich angelegt, so daß man auf seinem eigenen Grundstück spazieren gehen kann. Es ist absolut ruhig und größtenteils uneinsehbar, an Privatsphäre mangelt es nicht. Highlight für uns war jedoch der Poolbereich mit Außendusche, Grill, Extrakühlschrank, vielen Sitzgruppen und dieser bizarre Kaktus im Zentrum!

Zum Einkaufen muß man bis nach Vejer fahren, was allerdings auch nur gute 10 min mit dem Auto sind. Der Supermarkt nach mitteleuropäischem Standard bietet alles was man braucht, Frischfisch allerdings nur vormittags und leider sehr spanische Öffnungszeiten.

Wer also ein uriges Ambiente in ruhiger Umgebung mit vielen Ausflugmöglichkeiten schätzt ist hier genau richtig!
