Suncaliste d.o.o apartment is situated in Pula's most exclusive suburb - Pjescana Uvala and has spectacular views overlooking the bay. It also benefits from a large private terrace with sun loungers and dining furniture for 'al fresco' eating. The kitchen is fully equipped or alternatively you could select the cuisine from the various restaurants around the beach and harbour areas which are 3 mins walk away. The apartment has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge area. It has a modern feel and a well equipped kitchen containing a full oven & hob. The terrace is 70m2 and the views are simply stunning.

One of the 5 or 6 restaurants in Pjescana Uvala, 'Valsabbion', regularly appears in the top 5 restaurants in Croatia. Previous guests have chartered a yacht from the marina, enjoyed walking, sightseeing and some a good book and a glass of wine on the terrace! It's the location of this apartment which makes it special !

How to get there?: There are now several chartered flights direct to Pula from the UK - Thomson Flights is worth looking at. These are reasonable value outside of school holidays. Alternatively you can fly with Ryanair straight to Pula. Also Ryanair from various locations to Trieste in Italy (about 2 hour drive). Easyjet offer a service to Venice Marco Polo from several airports in the UK. This will take about 3 hours 15 mins by car after that, but worth considering if Ryanair/Stansted is a bit far in the UK. Easyjet also fly to Ljubljana in Slovenia and this is about 2 hour drive. The budget airlines offer fantastic prices. We have paid anything from £1.99 per person to £25.00 per person with both Easyjet and Ryanair! FlyGlobespan fly from Scotland direct to Pula.

Pjescana Uvala is the smartest area of Pula. It has a few shops to provide essentials, a bakery and several restaurants. It has a wonderful village atmosphere but Pula is only 5 mins away by car. Here you will find supermarkets, boutiques, numerous restuarants, wonderful historical Roman buildings and a large Roman amphitheatre dating from 1st Century BC.

Pjescana Uvala has two beaches both within a 3 minute walk and there are several other beaches within a 10 minute drive. All are pebbly and great for swimming any time of day. The area is ideal for sailing, walking, playing tennis and many more activities.

Pula is ideally located to use as a base from which to explore. The surrounding area offers lots to see and do, with the beautiful harbour towns of Porec, Vsar and Rovinj all within 45 minutes drive of Pula. You can also explore the wonderful mountain-top villages of Buje, Motovun, Groznjan, or take a 10 min trip by ferry across to the fantastic Brijuni Islands,

A wonderful way to get to know Istria

We spent a wonderful week at suncaliste in september 2009.
The flat is comfortable and clean,the owners seem to think about everything a guest needs for his comfort!
The best thing is the wonderful terrace,it is a pleasure to enjoy that view at any time of the day!!
We spent every day at another beach and visited beautiful towns like Pula, Porec, Rovinj...
The apartment is ideal located for all these activities, but Pjescana`s beach is only a 5minutes walk away, also shops and restaurants for a day without the car.
We loved it very much and will return this year....

Croatian apartment - a beautiful find

Having the last few years holidaying in Italy we thought it would be good to broaden our horizons - just a little!

Crotia having been featured in numerous press reports was said to be both beautiful and cheap! Pula and it's neighbours offered both history and a lack of commercialism that can be seen in many holiday resorts.

Pjescana Uvala offers an excellant villa with extensive views over the harbouir and coast and is only 10 minutes from the town centre.

It is a charming and relaxing area with a beach within a stones throw,several mini-markets and many excellant restaurants to take care of the "inner man."

Stansted and a number of municipal airports provide flights directly to Pula,with the airport being on the fringe oif the town thus avoiding the last minute coach journey.

The whole experience we found delightful and one which we have sampled twice already - do try it!

Fantastic View from the balcony

We spent a great week at this apartment in June 2008.

The location is ideal, quiet but not far from the sights and sounds of Pula.

It is well worth hiring a car as we travelled up the coast to Rovinj, Porec and Rabac together with the peaceful mountain village of Labin.Roads are good and it is easy to get around.

We would certainly go back, the views from the balcony are wonderful and there's nothing nicer after a day's sightseeing than sitting down on the balcony with a book and a cold beer before heading down the few hundred yards to one of the good local Taverna's.

Great Place to Stay

An excellent apartment, funished to an extremely high standard - was clean and spacious. Used it as a base for exploring Istria, although we could have easily lounged around on the large terrace all day!
Beach was very close to the apartment - lovely sea views from the terrace. The owners seemed to have thought of everything to accomodate their guests, including music, books, maps, guide books and suggestions for interesting places to visit.
The perfect setting for our first holiday in Croatia - we would definitely book again.

Super apartment with large private patio with superb views. Would definitely go back. 5 mins from beach and small restaurants, very friendly. Apartment was clean and spacious.
