About Luce Melancon and Eric Gorham
Casa Serena was selected as a name to reflect our love of languages and the serenity the site evokes. In addition to English, we also speak French and Spanish. Eric hails from New York and is now a professor at Quest University Canada. Luce is originally from Quebec and directs the non-credit program at Quest University. She is also a language immersion specialist and artist running workshops from Casa Serena. Our extensive voyages have taught us the value of hospitality. Before settling on the Sunshine Coast in 2006, we lived in the Uptown area of New Orleans. Our careers were satisfying but the embrace of nature and tranquility was missing in our lives. After a sabbatical on Quadra Island in the Georgia Straight, we realized how majestic the region was and felt drawn to live here permanently. Now we want to share the natural wonders of the region with you.
Luce Melancon and Eric Gorham purchased this house in 2006
