A secluded and peaceful villa in grounds of an acre and views to the stunning peaks of the Canigou mountain massif. Outside is a large shady garden with swimming pool. Accommodation is in a twin or double room with shower en suite. There is a guest lounge with satellite TV (including BBC), games, an extensive library and a CD Player. An outdoor summer kitchen is there for your use. It is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The large swimming pool, which is available in high season, has a changing room with Shower and WC. The pool terrace is furnished with a selection of chairs and loungers . Villa Canigou is a size able villa standing in its own grounds. It has a large pool and shady gardens. There are 4 guest bedrooms; all fully en suite. You have full use of the summer, outdoor kitchen and pool dining area, both covered and in the open. There is a range of cupboards plus a hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The property is fully fenced in so that children can be left to play without worries.

Ille-sur-Têt is in the Pyrenees Orientales, the most southerly 'department' in France, which is bounded on the south by Spain, on the east by the Mediterranean, and on the west by Andorra. Hence Sun, Sea and Mountains! The town lies half way down the valley of the river Têt as it flows from the Pyrenees through Perpignan and from there to the Mediterranean sea. An important town in medieval times, Ille retains many original architectural features and is a few minutes stroll away from Villa le Canigou. Apart from its interesting historical features, the town has a comprehensive range of shops and inviting cafes. It lies in a valley of fruit trees growing peaches and nectarines in the warm rays of the Roussillon sun and the fresh local produce is featured in the two market days which take place in the town every week. Furthermore, Ille-sur-Têt is perfectly situated as a centre for exploring the beautiful landscape and rich heritage of this unique area.

Canigou could be Scots for cannot go. It certainly is very hard to leave after such an enjoyable stay. Dorothy and Dave.

Firstly, can I say on behalf of all of us that we had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The pool, of course, was a big hit - especially with the younger ones amongst us. We were a little concerned on booking that the only cooking facilities were separate from the house, but infact this could not have been more ideal and the al fresco living made the holiday all the more special. The beautiful grounds gave the children plenty of opportunity to explore, find some shade and run-off any energy not used up in the pool! The living accommodation was great and all the bathrooms available was a bonus. We struggled to find any constructive criticism, because as I say, we had such a great time, but there were a couple of points if I may. It would have been extremely helpful if there was a washing machine in the kitchen/pool area and also it would have been nice to have had clean bedding after the first week. Thanks once again for a fabulous time and for organising such great weather! Kind regards, Emma

Dear Barrie and Chris,
We thank you both very much for a memorable holiday and for sharing your lovely home with us. As we said, it is very difficult finding a house large enough to accommodate our number and yours was ideal, especially having our rooms 'en suite' and the use of the pool and patio etc. We had a good journey home and all was fine on our return.
