Wow! A Wonderful Experience

We stayed here in late Sept 2009 and absolutely loved it. The apartment was gorgeous and the canal views were stunning. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Hughes, the owner, was friendly and helpful, providing us with some great restaurant recommendations and water taxi info.
We were 3 couples traveling together (age late 30's to late 50's) and we all highly recommend this property. Only one of us had been to Venice before and he was a little worried that staying on the Grand Canal would be too noisy. Noise was not an issue at all - our stay was so peaceful; in the evening we could hear the gondoliers singing as they passed underneath our windows and, in the morning, we could hear church bells ringing in the distance - I remember thinking "Can this be real?" The location was perfect!
