All bedding is new, hotel quality, minimum 500 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury duvet's and premium bath linens. Adjacent is a freshly painted newly carpeted separate family room with 40' flat screen HDTV, PVR, Sony surround sound system, designer sofa, ottoman and leather recliners. Kids can unwind or take in a movie in the family room, while grown-ups lounge in the luxury cross-hall living and dining room or on the sun deck.

This house once featured an exotic and award winning back garden. It was loved and lived in by only two families since the 1940's. A decade ago we purchased it. We fell in love with this location and the convenience of walking to all the shopping and entertainment venues. If you love cycling, hiking and the outdoors this location is perfect for you. We often ride our bikes over the Lions Gate Bride and all around the Stanley Park Seawall even over to Kits and Point Grey. Locally we are 15 mins either way to Cypress or Grouse Mountain for skiing/hiking. Over the years this home has a been tremendously popular for longer term stays with artists, actors, musicians and sports figures. We recently decided to convert it to a shorter term rental and we are certain that the charm of this unique home will not be lost on you.
Our Family of four members were meeting in North Vancouver. We chose Lynn's Home because of Her Photo presentation, and the many positive reviews. Lynn is a very personable and friendly. My family and I stayed at Sausalito North on our recent trip to Vancouver. We have two young children and really needed a place with all of the comforts of home. We were very comfortable during our stay. Our two children slept in the 2 twin bedroom and we were next door in a very comfortable room. We could have easily had another couple who wanted more privacy stay in the large bedroom downstairs. There is an additional television and family room as well as a laundry downstairs. It feels like an extra apartment within the property. The backyard and neighborhood is beautiful. We were walking distance from morning coffee and shops and a lovely outdoor shopping area filled with great dining, grocery and shopping options.
The location is also great due to the proximity to getting across the bridge downtown, Stanley park, and Capilano Bridge (5-10 minutes away). I highly recommend this house. The views are breathtaking all day long with views of sun rising over the water.
We travelled from our home in England to Seattle then up to Vancouver for a 7 day stay in September. The house was located in West Vancouver, about a 10 minutes drive from downtown. It was everything we wanted it to be, and more.
We were hoping for somewhere comfortable, spacious, and homely with good access to the city – we got all of that. When we booked the house, the main selling point was the view from the lounge. You really cannot capture on picture what we could experience firsthand. Raised up, we have the perfect landscape of Lions gate bridge and downtown to our left, panning across to Stanley park in the centre, opening up to the pacific water on our right (with a glimpse of Vancouver island on a clear day!) Waking up every morning to the view across the harbour to the park and ocean is something we've all missed every day since returning home. We were even fortunate enough to experience the sunset on clearer days, something that 3 of our party had never witnessed! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals, the dishwasher was fantastic, a real luxury for us, who wants to do the dishes on holiday?! The laundry area is very useful and the downstairs TV room was great place for the guys to watch the football whilst the girls watched programs upstairs. It was also great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it just makes the morning so my better not waiting for people! The family were so friendly and accommodating especially the 12 year old son Luke who finished a shopping trip early to help us when we broke the TV!
We were a 10 minute walk away from West Vancouver’s shopping and restaurant complex Park Royale. This was great for shopping and the restaurants were all high quality. Our personal favourite though was further west on marine drive – the Italian “Mangia e Bevi”
Vancouver is a beautiful city with an abundance of tourism. Our favourite things to do were visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Lynn Canyon Park, cycling around Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver, heading west to Horseshoe Bay taking a speedboat ride through Howe Sounds and visiting the WORLDS BEST MARKET on Granville Island. The best thing about our time in Vancouver was knowing we would be coming home to this house where we could kick back, relax, and reflect on the day with a glass of wine and snacks. This is a real gem and we will definitely return...5 stars!!!!
Thanks to Lynn and her beautiful West Vancouver home, we have a very pleasant week in Canada. We had 3 couples sharing the home with one private suite downstairs and 2 bedrooms sharing a bath upstairs. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying the gorgeous view. The 2nd bedroom upstairs has 2 double beds which is not ideal for a couple, but a small detraction overall given the other benefits of staying here.
We dined in, as well as out, and found the kitchen well able to handle a dinner for six.

At the risk of sounding too positive, Lynn and the house in Sausalito were both outstanding! The view from the house is unbelievable, all the amenities are there; a very well stocked kitchen for people who like to cook (excellent knives, pots, etc..), big bedrooms, and lots of living space. You will spend most of your time on the two decks, which seemed brand new. Lynn has really done a great job making this an exclusive high-end rental without charging an arm and a leg. There were five of us staying at the house; my wife and I plus our three girls ranging in age form 7 months to 6 yrs. The garden was a great play area for them and well protected. It was nice to have the extra rooms down stairs so that various family members could stay over. We spent most days walking to Ambleside to swim and play at the beach plus food shopping at Whole Foods at park royal (8 min walk). Being from Vancouver, it is difficult to come home and feel like you are on vacation however this time back we felt like we were in a cottage in a new area. I cannot thank Lynn enough for all her help; she was there when we needed her but left us to ourselves the entire time. Thanks for a great stay and we will surely be back again next year for 6 weeks.
We had a lovely stay at this perfectly situated Ambleside home. Walk through the neighbourhood, to the shops or stroll to the beach...it is all there. The home is better than photographed, with lovely eye for detail in this original cottage home. The upgrades make for a lovely combination of charm and comfort with a fully equipped kitchen, wonderful sound system and a million dollar view! Lynn and her family were very hospitable and extremely warm- just what was needed as we caught some much needed respite in the middle of moving house. We will be back!
Beach enthusiasts, Walkers, Hikers, Cyclists, Golfers, Sailors and Skiers, will all enjoy some of the finest outdoor opportunities in the city from this location. Hiking trails are a plenty, as are public bike paths, mountain bike trails, skateboard venues etc. The Suspension Bridge, Salmon Hatchery, Grouse mountain, Cypress Bowl, all are within a short drive. Also enjoy the world class facilities of the West Vancouver Rec Center, less than a mile away. Features, swimming pool, ice skating, racquet sports, yoga studio, music studio, seniors center, cafe and more. For Whistler and Blackcomb enthusiasts, 75 minutes by car has you at the lifts.
