This is a spacious stone-faced house with spectacular views of the Twelve Pins mountain range and Ballinakill Bay with a large wooden deck at the rear of the house offering the ideal viewing spot. The house has a big entrance hall with a large sitting room with a stone-face fireplace which is adjoined by the dining room. The kitchen combines modernity with the traditional and has an Stanley range and an island with a 5-hob cooker with oven and grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave and dishwasher. There is a utility room off the kitchen and also adjoining the kitchen is a small sitting room/snug - ideal spot for the children to play or a quiet space to read. The house has Wifi access. All of the bedrooms are en suite and the master bedroom leads onto the wooden deck. The house is a short drive/walk from Ross beach and a short drive away from Clifden, Cleggan and from Letterfraack and the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey.

Wonderful house with fantastic views

Four family members stayed here for a week and we had a great holiday. The house was clean and all the bedrooms being ensuite was a great bonus. The whole house was spacious, plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck having breakfast overlooking the mountains and sea loughs.

Everywhere is easy to get to and Connemara National Park is minutes away in the car and well worth a visit. There is also beautiful Kylemore Abbey, tidal Omney Island, a ferry trip to Inishbofin, fantastic beaches and great places to eat in the nearby towns

Janet and Aedan, the owners, couldn't have been more helpful. There is a fantastic book collection to choose from.

I would definitely recommend a stay in this house. Our weather wasn't great but it did not take away from the relaxing holiday we all had.

Fantastic Holiday Home with breathtaking views

What a beautiful comfortable house this is. It is like a home from home only better equipped than most homes. The kitchen is supberb - a chef's dream. The views from the house are so stunning that you could easily just do nothing but look our the window. I stayed there when the weather was mid wintery and mid summery all in the space of two weeks. The house was beautifully warm - albeit with heating on for a large portion of the day. The deck outside was fantastic when the weather was up to the late teens (18-19 even 20C). Janet has gone to such trouble to make sure that a visitor has everything ty need. Her bookshelf is so well stocked that it resembles a mini library. Hundreds of books all organised into categories and genres. Very comfortable bedrooms, all ensuite. Ideal for entertaining large groups of people in lavish style. I can't rate this house highly enough and I look forward to returning very soon.

a house that just missed being great

this house ticked nearly all the boxes.large bedrooms all ensuite. Great kitchen,well stocked.an open fire with 1st supply of fuel free.just a few things that could be improved.water heating was by imersion heater & was charged extra.we were told there would be enough for our needs if we turned it on for an hour at night & an hour in the morning. This was not the case & the water always ran cold.if we had used as much as we needed the cost would have been excessive. Also the sofas & chairs in the sitting room were uncomfortable.no support & very low to the ground.all furniture needs modernizing. The area was very scenic & Cleggan harbour is worth a visit. Fresh fish & lobster can be had when the boats come in.the kids loved the national parks playground.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
