The neighborhood where the house is located is called James Bay and it is the oldest residential neighborhood in Victoria, and is just south of downtown. Many of Victoria's key tourism attractions in this area - including Parliament Buildings, Royal BC Museum, Beacon Hill Park, Fisherman's Wharf, horse-drawn carriages and waterfront walkways. The neighborhood has many heritage homes, including the home of artist Emily Carr. There are many interesting heritage walks that can be done in the area.
Because of the location, it is very easy to get around on foot to most areas of the city. There is also access to many bus routes and bus stops within a couple blocks from the house.
My husband and spent a wonderful 4 night here. The home was very clean, the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. We ate in every night because the grocery store is so close and we really enjoyed the kitchen and the quiet, coziness of the house. Now let me tell you how conviently located this home is. Not to speak of the fact that it has its own off street parking which is huge in Victoria. Yes, we had a great time and throughly enjoyed this home. Thank you!!
Wonderful, convenient location in old neighborhood in Victoria. The home was very well maintained and the kitchen a delight! We felt welcome and spent two days walking around Victoria and cooking each night. Everything was comfortable and as represented. Would highly recommend this location for a visit.
I had very pleasant experience staying at this property. We had no complaints during our stay. It was located very close to downtown Victoria, as well as beautiful parks, groceries, coffee shops, etc. The house was spacious enough for 3 adults and 1 toddler, and kitchen was adequately equipped. I'd definitely recommend this property!
The property is located in Historic James Bay. This is the oldest residential neighbourhood in Victoria, as well as the oldest in all of Canada’s West Coast.
