Built around 1840 the Chateau Du Puits Es Pratx was once the largest wine domain in the village of Ginestas and has been restored to its current glory and it is the perfect venue for weddings, family celebrations, individual or group holidays and corporate workshops. It’s own restaurant ‘L’Es Pratx’ offers a complete gastronomic experience. There are also Creative courses in Cooking, Photography and Painting available. Fascinating Wine Tours for those interested in the wine renaissance in the Languedoc can be arranged that visit some of the best producers in the region. The owners create a relaxed, ’home from home’ atmosphere whatever the occasion and provide accommodation for up to 42 people. The domain provides hotel accommodation in the 5 guest bedrooms within the Chateau itself, all furnished to an excellent standard. In addition there is a 2-bedroom suite adjoining the Chateau, a further 4 Cottages and a one bedroom suite all available on a self-catering basis.

The Monet House stands alone in the garden, surrounded by lawn and trees, near to the swimming pool. It is the ideal self-catering home. You are able to be together with other guests but yet able to get away from it all in your own completely detached home. The house has: Sitting room that opens out into the garden and outside dining area. Kitchen and dining room with a large fridge freezer, waist level oven & hob; Upstairs are: 1 double bedroom; 1 family bedroom with one double bed and one single; Single bedroom in an open room between; Shower room and toilet.

Chateau du Puits Es Pratx is surrounded by vineyards in the picturesque countryside of the Aude department, an area within the Minervois wine region of Languedoc. It is located close to the World heritage site of the ‘Canal Du Midi’ and between the sandy Mediterranean beaches to the south and the awesome mountains of L’Espinouse in the North. It is 45 minutes from Carcassonne airport which is 90 minutes from the UK. There are 5 other international airports within easy driving distance. The Chateau is situated on the edge of a village called Ginestas, 20 minutes North of Narbonne and amenities include a general store, a bank (with ATM), a bakery, post office, bar and poodle parlour! Narbonne is well worth exploring, a charming town with an amazing covered food market and cathedral. Montpellier is 80 minutes drive away, Barcelona only 2.5 hours and one can also ski in the Pyrenees!!
