Another incredible treehouse, built with the same sensitivity to Nature as VRBO #199848, also built from recycled materials, an eco-friendly, solar powered, passive energy paradise in the forest. Take the stairs up to above the lower canopy to a lawn of hapu'u fronds and the tops of the ohia trees. Enter your cozy multi-level nest and stay somewhere so unique you will remember it for the rest of your lives.

Unplug your kids for a change. No TV on purpose! Be transported back to the child in you, as you discover the treehouse experience with your children.
The number of windows and lush gardens all around are magical. You really have to see it in 3D to appreciate it. There is no sacrifice of comforts either, with a warm shower and thoughtfully designed and stocked kitchen. You will be amazed to llive this comfortably this high up in the trees!
If you care to even leave the treehouse, you can visit the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park just 5 miles up the road.
You are out in the forest….it's a bit like camping, but you have all the cozy comforts in a romantic, picturesque Hawaiian rain forest: kitchen with fridge and 2-burner stove, hot water shower, regular flush toilet, mood setting open faced fireplace with kindling and lots of cut wood.
Go upstairs…. A comfortable Cal King bed with windows above for star-viewing awaits you. From the Master bedroom up the Captain's ladder to the double-futon loft is another large window to the sky. Sleeping for the 5th person is available on the living room couch, a new single bed mattress. (All mattresses are new.)
The moss and fern lined exotic trail (lit by a string of festive lights at night) from your private car parking weaves uninvasively through the Hawaiian forest to the 28 steps that will take you up to your treehouse adventure.
FUN! A 50 foot walkway bends its way through the top of trees with a comfy place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee with the sounds of birds and view of the treehouse.
This could be one of your BEST adventures ever! Come visit and take it off your bucket list.
If you value a getaway out of the ordinary -- and absolutely extraordinary -- this is the place. Not for the fussy...
I'm a Volcano enthusiast and a Treehouse Romantic and want to share this incredible place with others.
I built the treehouse to be a very romantic hideaway for myself and my honey, and now that I'm renting it out, the couples who have stayed here, including many honeymooners have appreciated the romance of the setting and ambiance. (In fact, we had considered calling it KamaSutreehouse when setting up the website!.) The setting is so private, surrounded by such natural beauty that one cannot help but be inspired. My favorite romantic details are the fireplace and the bed perched high up in the loft where you're surrounded by windows looking out at the moon and stars at night and native trees, birds and cloud formations by day.

This area is untouched pristine Hawaiian Rain Forest where I could build an eco-treehouse with minimal impact on the native environmental surroundings.
To be able to experience an authentic eco-treehouse, built above the rain forest lower canopy. 5 large skylights, 2 over the beds for night time star viewing. Finally get living in a treehouse off your bucket list!
It was so amazing to feel warm and secure, yet seeing, feeling, the forces of nature… Indeed swaying with the trees! We wish we had more time. We were completely in awe of this creation of yours. Thanks for your hospitality.
We had a great stay in Skye's treehouse. Definitely a great experience for the kids (and all of us) to remember. Skye's passion and craftsmanship are truly exceptional. My favorite parts were looking up at the stars at night, and waking up with the treetops. Thank you!
Our stay at this treehouse that Skye built near the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park was the kind of thing you may only experience only once in your life but will remember forever. Easy to find from the highway leading to the Park, you can instantly forget about the world "out there" from the minute you get out of the car.
The treehouse is just that - way up in the trees. In fact it's built right in and on the live large Ohia trees. You walk up a nice long stairway that takes you maybe 20 feet up in the air to the front door. A connected walkway to the left takes you right out into the middle of the forest, suspended in the air. Everything is solid as a rock underfoot, but the feeling everwhere is one of "up there"! Awesome! There's even a place to sit out there at the corner of the turning walkway, just to meditate.
Comfortable, well appointed with a great shower, separate flush toilet, fridge, kitchen to cook in, fireplace with wood ready to burn and a 360 degree window view everywhere of the native forest. It doesn't get better than that. You can even see out looking up through the skylights in many places so you are in the forest literally.
There are several levels to the treehouse and we could actually see the water in the Pacific from the top bedroom. That's about 25 miles away! The rushing clouds and stars at night were visible from the same king bed.
Mostly we enjoyed the serenity of the forest and being able to stay in a wholly artistic and beautifully designed home in the ohia trees. Everything was squeaky clean when we arrived and the welcome was full of Aloha.
Don't miss a chance to adventure into a place that you may have always dreamed of but never seen. Here it is. A beautiful experience for any traveler or group of travellers with imagination. Mahalo Skye!!!
