Na Macaret:
Na Macaret because of its quiet location, sandy beach etc. has been a holiday resort and weekend retreat for Spanish families living in the towns in Menorca or from other areas of Spain, in particuler Barcelona, and now with some British families too. This means that it has retained the feel of Spain and created a small friendly community.
The sandy beach is well protected and gently shelves down into the water making it ideal for children.
There are a variety of restaurants and bars including one that overlooks the harbour that serves 'tapas' and another nearer the villa that is very handy for ice creams.
The Villa:
An attractive two storey stuccoed villa overlooking the sea, built recently in the Menorcan style by a local builder. There are three bedrooms, all have fitted wardrobes, one double and one twin upstairs, sharing a bathroom and another twin downstairs with a bathroom. The kitchen is fully fitted with pine units and marble work-tops, double bowl sink, gas cooker with four burner hob, oven and grill and large fridge/freezer.
The management of the villa is carried out by English management agents living locally and they are always available to help with any problems or difficulties you may have.
The Area:
Within a short walk or a few minutes drive are Coves Noves, Addaya and Arenal D'en Castell, with a beautiful horseshoe beach, all with more shops, bars and restaurants. A little further on is Fornells, famous for its fishing harbour, seafood restaurants and watersports.
Na Macaret is within easy reach of the capital, Mahon, and the airport, other towns and beaches are all very accessible as are facilities for a variety of watersports, golf and tennis.
