Centrally located on Comox Rd., considered the ‘Dyke’ road by locals… and connecting Courtenay to Comox, the Waterfront Guesthouse offers a spectacular 280 degree view of the Comox Valley Estuary and the Beaufort Mountains; featuring ‘Queneesh’ the native name given to the valley’s famous Comox Glacier.
… watch in awe as the tides change from a full water landscape… where seals frolic and families of ducklings travel and fish the shores, to a ‘land before time’ where sometimes hundreds of seagulls rest and sun on the mud flats. Eagles, herons and numerous other birds of curiosity make this area a daily stopover…as the Bird Sanctuary is located within walking distance, a few minutes west, toward Courtenay.
… and it’s a kayaker’s paradise…put in right at your doorstep. Explore the Comox Bay, make the trip to Tree Island…or just take a relaxing float up the river. When the tide is up you can travel up through Lewis Park, a local swim hole. Just go a little further and you might spot some eagles patrolling the river for salmon or just sitting in the trees there. On your way back, dock at the Air Park; have an ice cream or a bite to eat at the Park Café. Or you might want to stretch your legs and take in the magnificent views from the walkway; a 1.8 km walk around the Courtenay Airpark. Try an evening walk sometime….you’ll be amazed at the sunsets...

What a wonderful place fo stay & regain serenity! We loved the sunrise and sunsets especially. The home was perfect in every detail and made us feel so welcome. The dog loved the sunporch where he could watch the wildlife! We walked in the forest and on the beach.. Perfect weather too. Thank you for your welcome and all the hard work you put into the house.
We rented this apartment for 3 1/2 months. Could not have picked a better location in the Comox Valley. Eagles soaring past the front windows, seals in the river, otters, etc. Views from this location are fantastic. The estuary truly is right at your doorstep. Wonderful large covered deck for watching the world past by and BBQs. Owners were very accommodating and so informative of what was in the area. Highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Great view but a very busy road outside spoils the location. Lots of outdoor activities in the area make this a good place to visit. Friendly and helpful owners.
We stayed at this perfect place for 4 rainy and stormy days in late October while salmon fishing in the Puntledge and absolutely did not want to leave. We felt at home right from the time we steped in this cozy apartment. The estuary view from the large windowfront on 3 sides is breathtaking and you feel like on a boat. The nights storm winds knocking at the walls made us appreciate this warm and charming place even more - it was so good to get "back home" after a day fishing. The kitchen contained really everything you could imagine, bring in your fresh groceries, the rest is already provided. We recommend this place to everybody and cant wait to be back.
My family and I really enjoyed staying at the Waterfront Guesthouse. The owners were very kind and eager to help us in every way possible. The house was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed including shampoo in the shower and laundry detergent with the machines. The view was SPECTACULAR! We could not get enough of watching the Canada geese, sea otters, sea planes and the Comox glacier right outside our windows. We were able to walk on the beach when the tide was out and easily traveled all around the area by car (I highly recommend a trip out to the beach at Goose Spit). We were aware from checking Google maps that the house is on a busy road. You will hear traffic noise but in our opinion this was a minor annoyance compared to all the wonderful good points about this place. We'd stay there again without thinking twice.
