It is the ideal house, after spending 20 years looking for it! In the heart of a well preserved region, the South of France without the suffocating heat, a green setting, the river nearby, and the house itself with its old stones, its charm, and its 8 doors and French doors opening on the garden, the terraces, the swimming pool, the patio. I love it passionately, and take pleasure in sharing it with friends and guests.

Excellent house in The Cevennes

We had a lovely 2 weeks in the Cevennes. The house is very well equipped, very comfortable and the heated pool is quite a luxury. The house is tastefully decorated and is virtually on one level - this was good for our party of three generations who all enjoyed their stay. There are walks right from the back door straight into proper wilderness and down to the beautiful river. St Jean du Gard has all you would need including nice cafes and markets. We will be returning!

Authentic French Country Style Living

My wife and I recently stayed at the Les Hauts de Falguieres. We have rented homes during past European and Seychelles vacations and found this impeccably maintained property and its amenities the best yet. The house is about an hour car drive from Nimes

Owner's Response: Thank you David for your kind words! You and your wife enjoying Les Hauts de Falguières is our reward for the efforts we invested in the house for the last 10 years. Actually, we spend all our vacation in that house, and like it to have all the comfort and equipment our family got used to. Plus we try to add whatever our guest requests. We are now working on improving the road so the small unpaved section is more pleasant to drive. Yes, St Jean du Gard market is amazing, and there is a supermarket there too (3 miles/ 4.5 km from the house), if you don't want to drive all the way to Anduze. We hope you will come back next year, maybe a little later in the season when the river is warmer and pleasant to swim in. Olivier and Marie-Jo

Les Hauts de Falguieres Review

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Les Hauts de Falguieres. It was surrounded by beautiful countryside, just a short drive to the town, the rooms were perfect in every way and all of our needs were met. There were even two lovely terraces to enjoy our meals while overlooking the view. Highly recommended.

Our French Paradise

We've been in this paradise for several years now - time to post an update!

As this is the place our family love to return to, actually by any season.

Summer, of course, that relaxed pool side life and the warm wonderful evenings at the terraces...

But we've also much enjoyed the crisp autumn, nice walks along the river, the beautiful paths in the mountain, then a fire indoor by night. Many nice meals, including both chestnuts and cherries from the garden.

The whole family, of five persons, appreciate this place as our *special favorite*. We look much forward to our next stay!

une idylle dans les cévennes

La maison est grande et aerée. Elle s'ouvre dans toutes les directions, Terrasse, Cour intérieure, et encore une autre Terrasse. Les chambres sont spacieuses. La maison est très bien entretenue. Il y a trois salles de douches ou bains, 3 toilettes. Pour nous qui aimons la place, cette maison est idéale, Il y a un grand terrain et une belle piscine. Que demander de mieux!

A pool cleaning is provided by us mid-week.
