Photos and Description of the Chiclana de la Frontera vacation villa rental 3 Bedrooms, 2 family bathrooms, sleeps 6.

1 double bedroom with (en-suite) and 2 twin bedrooms and an cot for one child under 2 years old. There is also another family bathroom. SKY TV is available (BBC1 to Channel 5, so remember to bring your full package SKY card) DVD and a C/D player in the lounge with A/C, all bedrooms have hot and cold air conditioning as well as ceiling fans. Bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and spare bed linen and towels (not for beach use). Modern kitchen, fitted with every day appliances including W/M, D/W, F/F, Hob, and Microwave etc. A separate dining room is situated next to the kitchen which in turn leads out onto the patio, where another set of table and chairs can be found for external dining. The large 26 x 13sq m garden has an 8x4m swimming pool, BBQ, sun lounger’s and additional seating area. There is lighting surrounding the villa, so you can continue to enjoy the weather, late into the evening. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE VILLA AND NO ANIMALS ALLOWED.

The village of El Marquesado in situated in the town of Chiclana, which has about 70,000 residents. Chiclana is a growing town with a mixture of all nationalities, and the Spanish are very warm and welcoming. There are lots of activities in the surrounding areas from golf, aqua park, horse riding to wind surfing. ( Map shows the general area of where the villa is and not the exact location)

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment can also be made in euros via bank transfer.
  • £200.00/€220 is held as the security deposit and is refunded once our property managers confirms that there was no damage or extra cleaning required. There is a heating charge of £ 20.00 per week from October to April each year.
    Bookings of less than 7 days, are not accepted.
    Meet & Greeting at the house after 6pm is chargeable locally.
  • On confirming a booking a 25% non-refundable deposit is required with the balance being fully paid 8 weeks before departure.
    Returning the security deposit to an overseas bank account (not in England) will incur bank transfer charges.

Golf: There are numerous Golf courses near by, details can be supplied at the time of booking. The pool is covered for the Winter each year from October to April.

Please note your booking is NOT confirmed until I have received a copy of the signed booking agreement, copy of your passport/NIE or ID card and the 25% non-refundable deposit. Only at this point may you book your flights, arrange car hire etc.

A home from home

This was the first time my husband and I had experienced a private villa holiday and we now feel rather hooked, as the Villa La Contenta lived up to its name of The happy Villa, facilities were excellent and had everything you would need , and being someone who usually wants to be on the go all the time I found myself not wanting to leave some days just content to enjoy the pool , garden and relaxing.
A car is essential as the village of El Marsquedo is mainly residential but Chiclana is only a very short drive with shops , cafe's etc and the car gave us the opportunity to visit Cadiz, Borossa beach to name a few which were all near by and well worth visiting..
We both thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Having enjoyed our first visit to the Villa Contenta so much last year (2008) we have now just returned from our holiday this year (2009) and again were more than happy, it was like going home, we love the relaxing comfort the villa provides.
We went into Chiclana town to the new indoor market where you can buy fresh fish/meat/fruit and vegetables,enjoyed the festival that was on during our stay.
The villa is ideally located for visiting Cadiz, La Barrosa Beach, both of which we enjoyed again.
We are already thinking about our next visit !
