This quiet, 18th century two story house, without lift, is situated halfway between the famous opera house and magnificent Schoenbrunn castle. ( 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot away) Theatre, buses, metrò, fast train, banks, supermarkets, shops, typical Viennese cafès, restaurants are in a range from 30 to 200 meters. The airport bus terminal at the railway station on the Mariahilferstrasse is ten minutes on foot away. Mariahilferstrasse is Vienna's best shopping area. The 72 sq. meter flat, high ceilings, with original antique furnishings, has wooden parquet floors, dècor curtains a well equipped kitchen , fully tiled bathroom with tub, overhead shower, basin, bidet, w.c. hair dryer, and second separate toilet. Sheets, towels, tablecloths available, tv, radio. The direct dial telephone is calculated according to use. Assistance, if necessary on the premises.

  • The above price, is for six persons for one weeks rental of the
    flat, all expenses included. Longer rentals are also welcome,
    and according to the number of people occupying the flat and
    for the length of time, a suitable price will be set to satisfy both parties.
  • The rental rate for the Christmas - New Year week is 850,00 euros all expenses included, no extra charges. Bed and bathroom linen is supplied and there is assistance on the premises. The house is very quiet and safe. A washing machine and dryer are to be found in the cellar for guests to use free of cost. An internet point is in front of the house, across the road as is a restaurant. Supermarkets and shops, bars, in the immediate vicinity. Public transport excellent and within 200 metes from the house.

Children are welcome, animals are considered - the house has its own inside courtyard, handy for animals, with garbage containers belonging to the house. A washing machine and clothes dryer are in the cellar. An iron and ironing board are in the apartment. For any specific request, guests will find help on the premises and maid service can be arranged, upon request, at the cost of 7.74 Euro per hour.

The house is only ten minutes away by public transport to the famous thermal baths establishment 'OBERLAA', situated in a beautiful garden, inside and outside pools with thermal water, hydromassage system at 36C. Sauna, Turkish baths. Just 15km from the house, near to the village Moedling, the 'SEEGROTTE', Europe's biggest underground lake. 250.000 visitors yearly admire this natural wonder open all year round. The newly opened MQ museum, just across the road from the art museum is and the House of Music definitely merit a visit. Obviously Vienna offers theatres, opera, operettas, musicals, concerts, every single evening with a different program. The 'Raimund theatre' is only 300 meters approximately from the house.

Affordable Vienna

We spent 2 weeks travelling by car throughout Austria this summer, spending several days in Vienna at this affordable and convenient flat near Schoenbrunn. We parked the car without charge on a street behind the flat, using public transportation (and our feet) to get about. The flat is very comfortable, family-oriented, in a neighborhood with reasonable amenities and has very convenient access to underground and bus routes. Vienna is a wonderful city to explore. Cafes and restaurants were fantastic. But with family in tow, we also particularly enjoyed returning to the flat in the evening to relax and prepare our own meals with provisions from the many local shops.

Convenient Vienna flat

Booking with the owner was easy and she was very helpful. Traditional furnishing in spacious, spotlessly clean flat with creaky floors, overlooking street. Friendly, helpful welcome from lady who caretakes (speaks Italian, not English!). On useful bus route into city centre, Metro close by. Plenty of local food shops make self-catering easy. We recommend the 'Pedal Power' guided tours by bicycle - very interesting. Also we tried the Oberlaa thermal baths - uncrowded even on Sunday and reasonably-priced, easy to find by tram from the flat, very relaxing, no other tourists. On Reumannplatz (on tram route back from Oberlaa) the famous Tichy icecream parlour is well worth a visit. In summer the main Spanish Riding School display is not available, but we really enjoyed the 'Mothers and Foals Piber Stud' display.
